Cowboystudio 20 Ft Wide, 9 Ft High Background Backdrop Stand with Detachable Crossbar and Complete with Two Carrying Cases

I like this stand because it is solid. My last stand had a telescoping cross bar, and at some point it was bent a little bit. This made it difficult to collapse the cross bar to fit in the travel bag. The cross bar in this stand comes in solid sections that I screw together to made it the width that I want. There is no way that these sections are ever going to bend, short of a tornado or a circus strong man. I also like the spring cushioned stands.My one complaint with this product, and the reason I gave it three stars instead of five is that the travel bag that came with the stand is damaged. One of the clips is broken (see the photos I included in this review). How can I get an exchange for just the bag without going through the hassle of returning the whole stand?And for anyone who needs​ instructions to put this together (it can be a tiny bit confusing), the instructions are easy to find on Cowboystudio.com.

This item arrived today (September 4th, 2012) I was very excited since I waited almost a whole week for item to arrive, however the shipment was incomplete, It did not come with the two carrying cases, resulting in a failed order. I am on my way to UPS now to send it back.I rated this three stars because as an Amazon Prime member, Amazon took care of me and there sending me a replacement that will be here on Thursday.The items I inspected were packaged fairly well although the zipper on one of the only bags I received of two was difficult to close, and wanted to get stuck. The bars are a decent thickness.I recommend this to any On-location photographer who does not have a studio who needs a decent backdrop support stand. This is a fabulous upgrade from the standard 10 ft Wide system, which is rather flimsy.This is an upgrade for me since my old stand is starting to wear and tare.

I have used this product a number of times now and I am so impressed at how simple it is to put together and the bags they came in a great (the bags are not that sturdy, but the size and the pockets, etc are a really nice way to transport them around). I actually made them super tall once, much taller than the recommended (way way tall) and they were quite sturdy. I am super happy with this product and am thinking of purchasing one more set to be able to create a 90 degree corner. I just don't think you can beat this price for what it is... it a GREAT value. Nice sturdy enough for the money. Still standing after all these years of set up/breakdown. I have only used lightweight fabrics and double layered

The tripods are lightweight, but that is not a good thing in this case (possibly read...a bit cheaply made). System is prone to tipping. On first use, one of the tripods in the set I received had a bad locking mechanism and the 5 lb muslin backdrop caused it to keep sliding lower. For that reason, mine is headed back to Amazon. System takes at least two (preferably three) people to raise the tripods properly in order to keep from bending the crossbar or lifting the center tripod off the ground (as I said they are lightweight). Horizontal sections did seem to go together OK as long as you are careful not to bend or dent them, but you must also pay attention to which section goes where so the specific one for the center tripod is in the right place. The carry cases hold the components well, but that may be the best part of this portable system. If you are looking for a set that is pretty much permanently placed, this may be an OK system, but if you plan to use it at multiple locations, setting it up on a routine basis,I would look for a bit sturdier system (and I am in the process of doing so).

Did the job for me! Worked great with 2 9x20 back drops for a large group photo shoot. Quality was acceptable for the price. The dampening springs and noisy and cheap feeling but does the job just fine.

Works very well. I use this for a stage backdrop for a church and purchased some 8ft curtains. We use it once a week and it's held up fairly well. The only issue we ever had was that one of the locking nuts came lose and needed to be tightened. It's very sturdy and easy to break down and put up. I wish it had flat stands like some other backdrop stands but this works just fine.

I really have struggled finding 20ft wide background stand sets that are durable. These work great but they have fallen apart pretty quickly under very normal or easy use. The are just not constructed well. For the price they are ok but I would rather pay more for a higher quality set. The carry bag also leaves a lot to be desired, the zippers fell apart in about the first month.
