Awesome experience here
Not sure why people have posted that you won’t or can’t solder any copper greater than 1/2”. I just soldered multiple 3/4” piping to include a brass ball gate valve with no issues using propane. Perhaps their technique is off and parts are not well prepared. Also, turn the knob until you hear slight hissing before attempting to ignite. No issues with that her contrary to complaints. Only thing is during use, the flame will begin to get weaker so you’ll need to throttle your output with the knob. I absolutely love this tool especially when space is limited and the bottle won’t cut it.

Makes water heater install much easier
Needed for water heater install and the 3 foot hose allows thorough heating. Great product.

Works well after fixing it.
It works well after I fixed it. My ignitor was not working from the very moment I opened it. So I disassembled it. I discovered that the grounding wire was not well connected. After fixing that, I tried it again and it still didn't work. So I looked at the wire inside to tube. It still had its plastic sleeve completely covering it. I stripped off about 3/8 of an inch exposing the bare wire. Finally I am getting a spark! I put it all back together and test with gas. It works every time now.Quality control should have caught my issues.

Dangerous Meltdown, Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly
Day 1: Tip piece loose, started falling off. Igniter failed soon after. Next, top plastic piece melted and started to burn. Torch began back firing/burning into hole where plastic piece used to cover. Last, handle disconnected from metal tube. Genuinely frightening to try and use while it's self-destructing, and I'm no baby. Broke down and made a run to HD for Bernzo branded hose and cast-metal torch.

Awesome MAP gas torch
Very useful for heating broken or seized bolts, lighting small areas of forest on fire, and killing entire families of spiders and burning their webs of of my freaking garage. seriously how many times do i have to burn their home down until they stop spinning a web there

It's a torch
It's a torch, that creates a hot flame. I like that I don't have to hold and twist the bottle around when I'm soldering pipes. Also the ignitor seems to work fine so far and I like not having to find a lighter or match when it's time to fire up the torch. Added bonus, the torch I received has a brass flame adjustment knob, which I consider an upgrade over what's pictured with the blue plastic knob.

Swirl device falls out too easily
Overall a handy torch on a hose. It’s much more maneuverable than fixed directly to a bottle. My problem with this model is that within 3 minutes the “swirl” insert fell right out the end of the torch. Then the sleeve head fell off. After letting it cool, I spread the swirl device some to press it in more secure… a few minutes later it fell out again — useless. Gently compressing the sleeve end in a vice then reinstalling with a gentle hammer tap seems to have secured that.

Makes for easy torch work. Good quality product.
I really liked using this torch. Not a professional copper pipe solderer by any means but product was easy to light. Bottle was easy to attach and detach. Had handy clip to wear the bottle. The hose made it very easy to heat and solder copper pipe. Good quality brass fittings. Hose was nice and flexible (it didn’t try to assume any particular shape making it hard to use).
