The applicators fit the applicator perfectly and worked great for applying poly to our floor. We used a fresh one for each coat, but each one lasted for the entire coat even though we were covering a large area. I do recommend brushing off the loose fuzz before starting to apply poly, but beyond that we didn't have any problems with the applicators shedding.

This is a different product from the same supplier than I’ve used previously. I cut them up and use the smaller squares. This product shreds and sheds quite a bit. Especially if you try to use it more than once.

Good for stain

Used this to finish my floors -- with the first pass, it left many threads on the floor making a huge clean up effort. Turns out, you are first supposed to rinse this with paint thinner. I'm not sure that works, as I was too busy cleaning the floor and was unwilling to give it another go. Even if pre-rinsing with paint thinner works, who wants the added cost and mess of that? Instead, I bought the genuine lambswool applicator which worked perfectly.
