Faulty readings on the meter. Compared with 2 other PPM measuring tools. The other 2 was reading the same but this one was way off. 2 readings of 0-5ppm this was showing 370+ ppm...Would not recommend.

very handy meter and good price. This meter is easy to use and measures Total dissolved Solids and Temperature too deg C and deg F by toggling the centre button.You have to give time for temp and TDS to stabilize.I use it in tropical fish keeping to adjust calcium and magnesium salts to give an approximate match of new buffered water to old tank water so as to not shock the fish.

I bought this meter on the reviews alone. As these measurements are extremely important to,me I also purchased an expensive British meter costing 10 times as much ~The differential between the readings was negligible in terms ow healthy drinking water quality and I would recommend this instrument to anyone who cannot or is unwilling to spend the money on an expensive instrument. The old adage that you get what you pay for may well be correct but I would still recommend ths instrument to anyone who takes water quality seriously. \Cheers, PH
