So with that said, this is a mixture of baking soda, washing soda, TSP cleaner (trisodium phosphate), and water. You can make it yourself for about $20 for 160 gallons. However, if you only need a gallon then it's probably better just to buy this and save yourself the hassle. It works because mold doesn't like the sodium or the alkaline environment created by the ingredients. Because it is only baking soda, washing soda, and trisodium phosphate with no binding agent it will just wash off. If you are spraying a non-porous like a piece of unpainted wood, then the wood would suck it in. If you spray glass, for instance, it will not be absorbed and you can just wipe it off. If you use this on painted walls, it will leave a dusty appearance, so you can't use it on dark paint. You can spray it, kill the mold, and then wipe it off. By that I mean don't think that other products are more effective just because they contain dangerous chemicals that you can't pronounce. I cannot find any reason not to use this over something else.

**Q: What size wall can a gallon clean?**
A: Spraying seems to be the most popular way to apply this product.  However, I paint it on the molded surfaces with a paint brush to be sure I get good coverage.  This seems to save the product somewhat.  So, if you paint it on, it should cover about as much as a gallon of paint with a single coat, 40 feet X 8 feet or about 320 square feet.

**Q: what type of breathing mask would I need to block the product from being breathed in while cleaning?**
A: I used a fogger and stayed out of the area.  It is low odor.  Organic vapor mask would be really good.  This from the web site:  Do I need to wear a mask when using Concrobium Mold Control?Concrobium Mold Control does not contain any VOCs and does not off-gas. However, if you're in an area with heavy mold growth, a mask would be a good idea to limit your inhalation of harmful mold spores. If fogging, it's a good idea to avoid breathing in excessive moisture from the fog.

**Q: Can I clean my dishwasher with this?**
A: Honestly, my parents use Tang (the powedered orange juice mix) to clean the dishwasher. They run it without dishes and place the Tang where the soap goes. After the dishwasher runs it’s course with Tang, it’s sparkly clean!

**Q: Can this be used on drywall**
A: Yes.  I used it in a fogger on drywall.  I would think you could use it in a sprayer on drywall as well.  Painted drywall especially.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product

We found mold and mildew growing behind the drywall in our basement. I bought this product in a gallon jug for use in a fogger as well as a 32 oz spray bottle of Mold Armor 2x instant mold removal. I will compare them. The Concrobium had no nasty fumes. (On the other hand I thought I was going to pass out using the Mold Armor. For the Concrobium I needed no protective gear although I did use a mask. For the mold armor I had on latex gloves, a mask and goggles. So for smell and ease of use the Concrobium wins hands down. Here is my dilemma however, between the 2 products. There was no "wondering" if the Mold Armor worked. It did a great job on porous surfaces (wood and untreated cinder block) as the mold stain literally disappeared. The Concrobium? I don't know. It certainly smells a lot better in the basement. All the mold mildew and harsh Mold Armor chemical smell is gone completely but does that mean the mold was killed? I have no idea.
