#1 Solder
The very best of Kester's offerings if you're working on audio gear.

Great solder and got a spool that's new.
Glad to get a fresh 1 lb spool. Great product, just as good as the old stuff from the sixties and seventies. The info on the spool says: DOM 2024 - 01 - 26 which would be Jan. 26, 2024. This is the Date Of Manufacture or DOM which is very important as the rosin in the solder will dry out after a few years or maybe three. Kester 44, .031 diameter, rosin core flux is the best solder you can buy for small projects and printed circuit boards. Don't buy Lead Free or any other water based types.

The best! I'm never settling for cheap solder again
I've been using cheap generic solder for a while, and I thought my soldering technique was poor because I kept getting cold solder joints and had to use a lot of flux. This stuff flows effortlessly and leaves nice, strong, shiny connections. I did a quick solder job and every solder joint on the PCB and my wire connections looked flawless on the first attempt, I didn't even need additional flux. I threw away all my cheap solder when I was done and I'm strictly using Kester solder from now on.

Incredible solder
I was using terribad generic solder before deciding to fit the bill for Kester. It was well worth it! The generic stuff would look pitted and dull, even with Flux. This stuff melts extremely well and remains shiny. With extra Flux, Kester solder is light-years ahead of anything else I've used before.

The real thing.
For electrical/electronics only. Thin gauge for small-scale soldering.Sometimes you do need lead unfortunately and this solder has really active and effective rosin flux unlike some stuff being imported from China.

Good stuff
Got here in good time no problem

Seems a little pricey, but in this economy better to have and not need, than the opposite...
I am old school, and price seems a bit high, but with even eggs doubling in price 2022-2023, better to have and suck it up, than to be without, like other lead products... ... ...Brand is typically my go-to, and seems to work really well on the testing I have done, as I am not a professional solderer (IT is my trade).
