Lightweight & Powerful!
The Miele Classic C1 Pure Suction is a fantastic canister vacuum that’s both lightweight and easy to maneuver around the house. Whether cleaning large open areas or getting into smaller, tighter spaces, this vacuum does an excellent job picking up dust and debris with strong suction power. The bagged system keeps everything tidy and makes disposal simple. It’s also surprisingly quiet compared to other vacuums, which is a nice bonus.Overall, if you’re looking for a high-quality, easy-to-use vacuum that works well in both big and small spaces, the Miele Classic C1 is a great choice!

The Prefect Vacuum Cleaner for at home
Had a Dyson upright, which was very awkward to use and very heavy and top heavy. This new vacuum is fantastic, light and glides effortlessly across the floor. Quiet as well, cats still know it is a vacuum, but a lot less noise. This model is for flat floors and low flat carpet, it doesn't have a rotating brush for beating thick carpets. It looks like it would work on flat carpets and throw rugs, but not on any carpets with plush to them. The attachments are basic and work fine. The crevasse tool is kind of short, and the brush could be angled more, for doing shelves and high spots. The suction is strong and there is a indicator that shows when the suction is obstructed by something jammed in the hose, or the bag is filled. Makes vacuuming a lot easier.

5 stars on hardwood floors
This vacuum is perfect for my 750 sq ft apartment with all hardwood floors and 2 small low pile rugs. The suction is strong and it picks up everything I throw at it. The cord is a bit short, so I have to unplug it and plug it back again when I move from one end of my apartment to the other. It doesn't bother me but it might bother some with larger spaces. The vacuum itself is small and light, so it is easy to carry around, but don't let the size fool you. It packs a lot of power, and the bag inside is big and takes a while to fill it up.Bagged vacuums with filters are the best because the air is cleaner and the dust stays inside the bag! The air quality in my apartment is better now. I will never go back to a bagless vacuum again. If you have wall-to-wall carpet or large rugs, do NOT get this vacuum. Get a vacuum with a roller/turbo brush. This vacuum is best suited for hardwood and tile floors.

Wow, straight suction isn't in the same category as gutless no-bag vacs
Our bagless vacuum that we've had for several is progressing getting more and more gutless. It just doesn't pick up even small lightweight bits. I grew up with bag vacuums and after some research found this Classic C1 Miele. We have a lot of hardwood floors in this new house and one of the reasons I decided to go with this model is because of those floors. The other was the "pure suction" description. I didn't care for the floorhead it came with. There is a vinyl strip that seems to have contact with the wood floors while vacking. This same head was horrible for our cotton area rug. EVen on the lowest suction and the tile floor setting, it roughed up the cotton and I ended up with a lot of lint. I ordered the Miele SBB 300-3 Twister Parquet Floorhead, spendy, but reviews sounded good, and it was worth it. And I just ordered the (shhh... a non-brand model) Turbo Head cleaner for that cotton rug and the rooms that have standard carpeting. The Parquet sweeps our hardwood and tile floors beautifully and I recommend it. They are cleaner than they've ever been with our old vacuum. The Turbo Head tool arrives tomorrow. It has rave reviews here on Amazon and I anticipate that it will work well. The vacuum itself costs more than any vacuum I have ever owned, and when you add the two additional floorheads it has been an expensive item. But, it is working extremely well (I don't even need the higher suction levels for most of what I do), it is lightweight and easy to move about the house (I'm retired, glad for that ease of movement) and seems quite well made, with high quality plastic than the previous (brand name not disclosed) vac I bought at a chain store. The various tools snap on and off easily. Overall I've spent about $425, but am satisfied with the product I now own, which matches our needs, and anticipate it lasting for years.

Great little vacuum with one problem
This is a fantastic little vacuum with one problem that knocked a whole star off!PROS: Lightweight, relatively quiet, easy to maneuver, great nozzle options, great size. I trust this brand as my family has owned the same Miele canister vacuum (similar model) since like 2001 and it has held up and has always made vacuuming fun and easy. I feel the same way about this vacuum as well.CONS: There is ONE con about this vacuum: the main head/nozzle provided is designed very poorly. I don't understand what type of flooring it was meant to be used on -- maybe tile? -- but it seems like it could damage nicer hardwood floors and is very difficult to maneuver on carpet. You can't do the classic forward/backward vacuum motion with it on carpet. This is because it's just a flat piece of plastic that drags along the floor. I am not sure why the manufacturers chose this as the main nozzle, as the Miele Parquet Twister nozzle (sold separately for some reason?) is clearly the best nozzle for all types of flooring with its brush base. It seems like Miele wants customers purchasing this vacuum model to buy a separate piece, which I guess is still cheaper than buying an upgraded version of the vacuum that comes with the Parquet Twister nozzle, but still inconvenient. I just spent $350 on a vacuum -- I want it to be perfect! The main nozzle is the one thing keeping this great little vacuum from being an AMAZING little vacuum. I hope Miele simply includes the Miele Parquet Twister nozzle with all its vacuums in the future.
