He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord, and Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonged to him and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before them, He looked back at the footprints in the sand, He noticed that many times along the path of his life, There was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, You would walk with me all the way, But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, There is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you most, you should leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you and I would never, never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." In fact, it's my favorite poem. I decided to redecorate the bedroom and wanted this poem in a burnt gold frame to match the two pictures I wanted to hang on either side of it, so this one fit the bill. It's very beautiful. I would have given it 5 stars but for the size. I wanted it to hang on the wall and it's a little small for that because when you get a few feet away from it, the print is too small to read. I hung it anyway and decided, as I feared, that it was a little small and would look better on a mantle or entertainment center so I tried it in the den on the entertainment center but it seemed a little too tall and awkward there and everywhere else I tried it. I ended up hanging it in the bedroom like I had planned. So it's an awkward size I think. But the measurements are clearly stated in the listing page. I knew the size when I ordered it but it's hard to picture it hanging on a wall and I decided to risk it. Once I hung the two other pictures on either side of it, it looks quite nice where it is. I do wish it came in a slightly larger size. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by P***H on Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2015* Love the saying but the print is so small it is very difficult to read ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by C***I on Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2016* Nice gift and arrived as expected. Happy with merchandise and service. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/11611443-bol-productions-7703r-footprints-in-the-sand-framed-art-burnt](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/11611443-bol-productions-7703r-footprints-in-the-sand-framed-art-burnt) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
