There some P53s that cannot accept a 2.5" SATA drive at all, because of the installed graphics card. As far as I ave been able to determine, if you want to add a 2.5" SATA drive, and you don't want to buy products from questionable vendors, you must purchase a drive from Lenovo and surrender your laptop to them so that they may install it. AND!!! I'm not at all sure that even that will be successful. I have had my laptop since early January and have been completely unable to verify any solution. If you want 2.5" SATA capability without doubt, the only way to ensure that is to order a laptop with a 2.5" SATA drive installed by Lenovo during the hardware configuration at the factory. **Q: Is this compatible with a P73 laptop?** A: Yes.
