Pippy (The Simply Small Series, 12)

This sweet story has to do with shyness and making friends. All of the stories in this series are gentle but they have a conflict and resolution. The illustrations are wonderful. My grandsons, ages 2 & nearly 3, love these stories. I have a number of the books in this series and I'll probably end up getting all of them.

nice little board book, very bright and colorful. Pages are nice and durable. Just the right size for little hands.

perfect for toddlers, only issue are words in small font, but otherwise great! I'd love it if they made a big book for this series. im even considering doing a puppet show with it

My almost 2 year old loves this series. We've been reading them to him since we first purchased the Totty, Bitsy and Saffie books. He can read the books to us by memory.

I've read so many board books to my toddlers. This one initially seemed appealing due to it's bright graphics. Unfortunately, it's definitely in the bottom tier of board books we've tried. The illustrations are simple, but too much so -- like they were done in a hurry with a very rudimentary computer program -- the characters are simple but don't show any emotion or interest. The story is about Pippy overcoming shyness to meet a new friend, but the words are stilted instead of natural and the overall effect is forced. Skip this one.

We love Paola Opal books. Fun and colorful and great for little hands.

Love these books but this one is very flat. The story isn't great and they use the exact same image over and over. Pick the Ollie one or daffy and ollie which are much better ones.
