I still sort of prefer 100% cotton, but the big brand we all know changed jobbers to a Vietnamese vendor and the cotton on the new stuff was thin and hard. I returned them This Kayizu is 95% cotton with 5% spandex, and is soft and form hugging. Nothing wrong with that, really nicely made, quality product, and the color / stripe design looks fresh and grownup. I've never heard of this brand, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Since the price wasn't high, I decided to try them.They are super soft. The fabric is really comfortable against my skin. And the waist band is covered in fabric, not exposed. The contrasting color that you see in the photos is actually the fabric cover of the waistband, not the waistband itself.The fit is great. The 5% spandex in the fabric makes sure of that. I'm a big man (5'10 and 275 pounds). I bought the XXL, and they fit nicely. They're not so tight as to be uncomfortable, and not so loose that the legs ride up during the day.The waistband does not roll. (Remember, I'm a big man. If anyone is going to experience waistband roll, it's me.)I've already washed several pairs. They don't require any special care, and they come out of the wash looking as bright as when I got them.Underwear is a very personal choice.
