This is an excellent product. I opened it up - rugged construction inside and out.I've only run it at about 6 amps so far, but it performs well as a power supply for my iCOM IC-718.I'm an electrical engineer, and I've noticed some questions about regulated supplies vs. switching power supplies. This one is a switching power supply (or switcher), as are nearly all modern DC power supplies. It regulates the output voltage very closely and supplies a very clean DC voltage.One caution: this unit does not have any third-party safety agency listing (such as UL, CSA or CE). These agencies test for things like shock hazard, overheating, proper short-circuit protection, etc.

QUIET! It is right next to me at the moment. I haven't heard anything added to my signal, either. Smaller than an old 5 amp in height and barely wider. Old school lighting in meter. Two amber bulbs on the sides make it appear as an old radio meter. In fact, I am so pleased with this quiet and trouble free power supply that I have to be persnickety to come up with a tiny gripe. I wish they had used white lettering instead of gold, to match my other equipment better, although the lettering is nice with the amber back lighting.

I use this to power My IC7100 and it works very nicely. Cooling fan is quiet, although you can hear it if you're close to it. Manual cautions you to not touch the top due to heat, I've not experienced that. I operate at 80 watts out and no heat has been detected. The plug in (for mobile devices up to 10 amps) is a nice addition to a very good supply. So far, I'm pleased

Did the job and the heat issue advised in the info I received with it is non existent. I bought it to replace the three "brick" type supplies I found required for a 16 channel DVR system. The amp gage is a nice monitoring part of it also. Noticed that during the daylight hours, the DVR and 16 cameras draw only 4 amps. Once the night time I.R. lights on all the cameras turn on, it draws 8 amps.

Powered my HF Transceiver very well. I pumped out 100W PEP on SSB, 50W on AM and FM. Every mode worked and drew good power. This is a very good bargain for a PS. The car power port in the front was especially nice to have to put my VHF/UHF mobile into the house for a base station operation.

Supply works well to drive my Yaesu FT-2900R VHF Mobile 75 W Two Way Radio. I can't detect any noise from the supply.

Very happy with the quality of this product. Plan on using it for a long time to com to run my Amateur Base station. Looks better in hand than in picture.

Great Power Supply, It is Light weight and easy to move around. I use this power supply to run a Ham Radio transceiver and a Scanner. Have had no issues with it. I use this with my QJE 50 Amp also. Both from Amazon.
