Kenwood Kac-8405 600-Watt 4/3/2-Channel Amplifier with Variable LPF/HPF

I ordered this to push the two 10 inch kickers that I put in my truck. When it got in, I noticed that instead of a 600 watt amp, I had received a 720 watt amp! I'm not upset about it at all because it really makes my subs hit hard and it provides more than enough power. It fit under my seat quite snuggly and I haven't had a problem with it overheating or getting a bad connection. The only problem I had with it was this metal plate that was screwed into the top and prevented a screwdiver from being able to reach the connectors. but all I had to do was unscrew it and take it off, and it was no longer a problem. If you wanted to, you could put it back on, but I chose not to so I could have ease of access if I wanted to tune it. Overall it is a perfect piece of hardware and I highly recommend it!

I am using this amplifier in a 2004 Suburban, which is a very large cabin to fill with sound. In combination with Polk Audio Components in the front doors and Pillars, and Polk audio Coaxials in the rear doors, this amplifier gets the job done. The sound is crystal clear, with excellent frequency response where I need it. Once the speakers were broken in, the midbass really shines and it plays loud and clear all day long. I couldn't have asked for more for the price I paid.

This amp is a good sounding amp and the power is reasonable, it helped to bring out the sound quality in my speakers, the crossovers helped to protect my speakers from having to much bass in my mids, and it is flexible enough to run in 4/3/2 channel mode when you want to power front speakers and a sub.
