Brooklyn Pipe Elbows 1/2 Inch Decorative Threaded Pipe Fitting for Furniture and Shelf Projects

I purchased these pipe elbows for propane gas piping I'm installing in my cabin. When I pressure tested, the system wouldn't hold pressure for even a minute. I discovered that these elbows were leaking badly despite use of a high quality pipe dope and proper tightening. After of spending too much time trying to fix leaks, I realized that the threaded end is too short for the tapered pipe threads to seat properly. I may have gotten a bad batch but rather than return them and delay the project more, I ordered some other pipe elbows that were heavier duty that seated properly.

I ordered 10 - 1/2" elbows which I have ordered a few times now. They are good quality for decorative pipe. I have also bought 1/2" Tee and a few other items from this company. They are a good value and are shipped quickly. They are much cheaper than the big box store. So if your in the market for decorative black pipe stop looking and hit buy now.

Ordered many times from brooklyn pipe with never any dislikes or problems until this 10 pack of "decorative 90 degree elbows"....they screwed on fine but were about 5 degrees off on a 4" pipe. they are not their usual sent 90 degree elbows.They were down right junk and unacceptable. Reordered next day the 10 t's and 90 degree elbow pack for $2 more and were different cast elbows and back to being great. All I can say is stay away from these cheap " decorative 90 degree elbows and order the better ones in a pack for $2 more...

These are such a great substitute for the pipe fittings were were first going to buy atHome Depot. Considerably less expensive than a hardware stores because they are not certified for construction, they are decorative.Worked great for our shelving

I purchased these for an industrial style shelving project, so I can only speak to their apparent quality and aesthetic. Overall I am very pleased with the quality, consistency between them, and aesthetic. I couldn’t find the quantity of elbows I needed at the hardware store, so I purchased this multipack. With shipping the cost per elbow was a little more than the hardware store.They have done a great job and I’m looking forward to using the rest up in further projects.
