How does it work?** A: You screw the bottom part into ground under the stand, Then connect the binge cord to the stand and to the screw. It holds the stand stable so the stand and the dish do not blow over. **Q: which product will work with dish & direct tv wingard or king tailgater** A: I have the WInegard TR_1518 Satillite Tripod for our Tailgater and it works great, the tie down/ anchor to the ground is needed if you are setting up in windy conditions **Q: Can I remove the dome and drill the base where it does not interfere with internal components to permanently attach antenna to tripod top plate?** A: Yes. This is a pretty flimsy item. I can do it in under 5 minutes no problem. I put it back in box to store in RV. The legs have to be at the right angle to insert the pins, but then it is pretty solid. With legs all the way up, I put between RV and car with no room to walk between and connected to satellites over car with no problem. I used a gallon jug of water on bungee cord to weigh down stand and cable locked dish to RV. The stand is little pricey for what it is, but does what it is made to do. You can always build something yourself, but with any RV, room is of the essence, and the box it comes in is pretty small. Works as should. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Playmaker Dual fit perfect. *by on Reviewed in the United States March 23, 2024* Received the stand within a few days of the order.Everything about this was Winegard quality.Following the included instructions, the assembly was fast.The rubber mounts went into the antenna easily. Then, a slight counter clockwise twist, and it locked onto the tripod. I adjusted the leg length to give the antenna a good stable stance over a plactic jug of water i used as an anchor.
