I needed and extra hand for setting upper kitchen cabinets. I have been doing this for 30+ years and these things made the job a breeze. The "up" adjustment is done with a squeeze handle and worked great. The down adjustment is full release of the jack so the adjustments are on the lift not lowering. I was concerned about how they would stand but the base's are sturdy and they will stand on there own while you are setting things up. The storage bag is nice and everything fits into one place until the next time you need them. They don't take smoke breaks, were on the job when I needed them, never gave my any attitude or complained because we were working late ...again. Overall they worked great. The perfect third hand. Just Perfect!

I'm a 45 year old carpenter worked in the construction industry since I was 18. And one thing you learn through the years is that you have to work smart not hard. This product is definitely a work smart tool. Works just as described. Great tool to have in your arsenal.

What can I say FastCap is one, if not only supplier of this size adjustable tension support bar, so if they chose to cut corners in manufacturing does it really matter since no one else is making these types of things, and demand is rather low and very specific. The pros of this Item is that the over all tensioning and metal body support is strong and functions correctly. The convenient carry bag is real nice and keeps everything organized in one place. The down side is the two finger clip release to extend the fixed tube is impossible to use, it requires way to much finger and hand strength to even dislodge the pins than combined with the extra effort, that one must somehow use your other hand to pull the tube outward from pins. I quickly decided, after many futile attempts that prying the pin clips out and discarding was the safer solution , I substituted a simple push in ball type clevis pin. Next , and even more troublesome are the plastic stamped foot pads , that do not fit one side of the tube with out hammering in to place , have no flexible articulating feature to them , and if one breaks them either by trying to dis assemble or take apart so they fit back into the bag or through unusual uses that this might be used especially in construction which is after all what this item is pictured as being used in . One is either having to buy more of these poorly designed pads or come up with a better home made design of ones own. I bought this as a used model and can only assume that they previous purchaser , gave up on this item in complete frustration and dis belief that such a nicely designed item like this could have such oddly severe design flaws in the ability to actually be able to use this thing in a user friendly way.

These seem sturdy. I put my weight on them and they seem like they should hold my cabinets in place while I install them. The only "problem" with them is the foot is very snug, so to install you need to use a little physics to make it submit to your will. It's Not difficult though. I loved the fact that I was able to use this to hang a 50 pound mirror on the wall by myself. I also used it to attach my extremely heavy headboard to the studs in the wall since it couldn’t be attached to the frame. I look forward to using it again to hang up more things around the house. The video shows how one person can hang and install cabinets with only one person. It metaphorically gives you more hands so you won’t need another person to help. It’s worth every penny and saves me money so I don’t have to hire someone to help install things.

Excelente Producto¡¡ Súper funcional. Las bases muy sólidas y estables. No puede faltar en tu taller. Muy recomendable.

Lo unico malo dos cosas: cuesta mucho trabajo destrabar el botón que ajusta las alturas, tengo q usar una punta de desarmador o minimo guantes para empujar con el dedo y destrabar. El otro punto negativo es que la base no se puede quedar fina en la cabeza, esto no es nada practico porque me tengo que estar agachando por la base para cambiar de lugar el poste. Los otros modelos si tienen la posibilidad de asegurarlos bien a las cabezas, no entiendo porque este modelo no se puede.

Muy débil la base soporte, se dobla al poner ligero peso.
