This is the best quality sound system I've ever owned. There are three levels of woofer bass, but I stick with the first since it doesn't boom too much!The only reason I gave a rating of 4 instead of 5 is that I haven't figured out how to turn it off without unplugging it from the wall socket.This is not an intuitive sound system. The instructions help but not a lot. I find that I use the remote almost exclusively since the buttons on the top are not easy to read.I still don't know what the demo mode is suppose to do. On Sony's next reincarnation of this sound system, they would be better off just leaving out demo mode. I don't even know what it demos !!!

Amazon seems to protect the crooks who set up shop on Amazon. When I didn't receive it, I started looking for the complaint section, when I did find it, I found out that one has to wait several days in order to make a complaint. I tried to E-Mail that company through Amazon and the only information I received was, That this person could not be reached due to volunteering to remove their e-mail address or Amazon removed them from their list. I finally found after looking for close to an hour, I found a complaint section for this company and found that all who dealt with this company was 100% Bad to say about them. Had I Seen this prior to sending them money, I would have never did business with them This complaint area is in such small type it appears to be hidden, for the Crooks Protection. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER WITH AMAZON FOR MANY YEARS; BUT NO MORE, I CAN'T TRUST YOU!!!!! This company should have been BANNED FROM AMAZON, long before I placed my order. I now doubt that I will get my full payment back. GOODBYE AMAZON. DON'T E-MAIL ME ABOUT YOUR OFFERS ANYMORE, AS YOU HARBOR CROOKS. Wanda

I have no clue why Sony felt the need to put a Demo feature on this sound system. The antenna broke off in less than 30 days. Too much volume distorts the quality of the music. Not really excited about this purchase. Spent a lot of money and it is not the usual Sony quality.

Ok first, the price is frakin' outrageous! Now, if you can get past that part, you'll love this thing. I wanted to put speakers outside for my backyard pool but thinking about running more wiring through my attic just didn't get me motivated. So, came to Amazon and looked for the alternative, a "boom box." After reading a few reviews and noticing that this system came with what I wanted (USB flash drive support) I bought it and hoped for the best. Let me tell you something, I LOVE THIS THING! Radio, meh, tape deck, meh, CD player, meh, but USB support for mp3's?! Yes!!! My own uninterrupted music with on a box that can push the sound out - Fan-freakin-tastic! The Sony Xplod isn't perfect by no means, but for what i go it for, it simply shines!

This is a decent boombox. It doesn't quite distort as much at loud volumes. The usb and CD player play pretty well although the sub does take a little too long to load. The radio is ok. Not so sensitive. On a scale of 1 to 10 its an 8. The price is ridiculous. In my opinion the best all around boombox is the Sharp GXBT9.

It arrived well packaged, and worked perfectly, and as advertised. Love this boom box, just wish it was bigger (can't help it, I'm oldschool, and that it could handle more than 1 cd at a time). But other than wishful thinking, it is superb!

It's a great stereo system!!...until it stops reading CDs after 3 months of use. I will buy it again, but w/ the Sqauretrade maintenance agreement this time. The sound is great - fills the entire 1br apt easily - and, it is easy to use when it works properly.

Almost a year now and no issues. My granddaughter has enjoyed this product the only thing preventing it from receivig5 stars, we can't figure out how to stop the light from strobing when not in use.
