A MUST have for cleaning floors!!!
My house is a rambling rancher, with vinyl plank flooring throughout. This vacuum has powerful suction, you can hear the dirt pinging in the tube as itโs captured. The cord has ample length that allows me to cover a lot of area with one use. I prefer to use the adjustable shoulder strap but itโs easy to carry around by the handle as well because itโs so lightweight. Iโve spent way more $ on Shark and Dyson but this thing blows them away. The upright models and even the canisters cannot compete with this machine in terms of maneuverability. I can get into small crevices, behind things, under things, and in all the corners, itโs a powerful tool with unmatched capabilities when it comes to cleaning floors.

Simple and nice
I am pleased so far. Although i thought it was missing a strap hook but it was hiding in the bag. I wasnโt too impressed at first cuz i thought the handle was too short but then saw it expands. I like the the smaller head because it fits under thing nicely. Although idk if i like the switches that stick up quite a bit. Personal issue is the orange cord. But i donโt care as long as it works. I like the attachments selection. I think there should be a locking mechanism to keep the wands on. You have to make sure itโs snug so it doesnโt come off. I really havenโt used it but once so not sure if other issues will arise. For the price, i think itโs worth it. The suction is good too!

A great quality vacuum with plenty of attachments
I really love this or compact vacuum. It comes with a great assortment of attachments and will last you a long time. My first one of this style still works fine. I only bought another one because I had to get a new place. Buy it here without all the scammy Oreck sales tactics.

clumsy and awkward to use with strap- suction is better than most portable vacuums
I had an Oreck upright vacuum 35 years ago. Oreck has been around for years and has a great reputation. They are a commercial brand. Oreck upright weighs about 8 lbs and has a great suction. The vacuum lasted for years and years with just replacing belts. The upright model would go under the bed and furniture easily but lacked suction on edges of wall to wall carpets. When I saw this portable model with the attachments I knew that the suction would be good. The suction is better than any portable I ever used. The problem with this portable is it is awkward like alot of the portables. It is light and can fall over when using it. You can strap it over your shoulder, but it swings and bangs against walls and things. The quality of the attachments are about in the middle for quality, the plastic they are made out of kind of thin. The fact that you use a bag for the Oreck is great tho because it keeps all the dust and dirt in the bag and not shaken in the garbage and back into your home environment. All things said, this unit is worth the money and I think will last a long time being it has one of the best motor/suction around for a portable model. Using this unit for a full rug or bare floor vacuuming -eh- again, the suction is there but the clunky-ness is also there. It WILL vacuum your full size rugs and floors- but it is clunky to hold on shoulder. Anything that you may need to replace on the unit is replaceable with this company and they stand behind their product. Would I buy it again?-yes. I have had other portable vacuums and uprights with attachments that didn't have half the suction on this one. I will use it for stairs, small jobs and my car.

Best handheld vacuum
I have my own cleaning business and Oreck is the only vacuum I will use. I have purchased MANY handheld vacuums in the 20 years Iโve been cleaning houses. This sucker is strong. The suction power is like no other handheld vacuum. I read other reviews and Iโve never had a problem with the straps, bags, shutting off or overheating. The bag seems small but last a long time. Iโve never had the vacuum shut off because the bag was full. The first one I got lasted 10 years and still worked but I purchased the newer model in 2021 and havenโt had a single issue. It can get to feeling a little heavy if your wearing it for a while. My only issue is that the cord is so long that when I wrap it up, the hooks are too small to hold the entire cord without it slipping off. When I put in or take it out of my truck the cord slips off. I use this daily and for the cord to slip off and drag as Iโm carrying cleaning supplies into a house can be very frustrating. So I have to take my time and wrap the cord tight and close and still doesnโt really stay on. Other than that I have no complaints. I definitely recommend this handheld vacuum over any other!

A Waste of Money
I have been using this vacuum now for six months and find it to be practically useless. The quality is very poor, the attachments are constantly falling off, and the cord which is 30 feet long, is constantly getting tangled on itself which results in its shortening and then me having to stop to unwind the cord constantly.Itโs also very awkward to carry, if you sit it on the floor, it immediately turns on its side, the suction is OK when you first put a new bag in but rapidly lessens until it will barely pick up dust.Iโm truly not satisfied at all with this item.

EXCELLENT... with a few MINOR drawbacks
Before I get to the shortcomings, I want to say that this is an excellent machine. It is not perfect, but it is a powerful, and well accessorized unit, and one hell of a value at the current price. Now for the relatively few shortcomings:(1)The weakest link is the shoulder strap. It is actually made from a high quality webbing , but the STITCHES that secure the strap to the metal attachment clips are extremely inadequate. Mine lasted less than 1 minute before failing, and allowing the vacuum to fall from my shoulder. The FIX is relatively easy, and should be completed BEFORE the strap is attached to the machine. TIP: fet a couple of wooden spring-loaded clothes pins (a packet of these will cost you under one dollar at Dollar Tree). Spray the "business ends" of two clothes pins with WD-40 (super glue will not stick to WD-40). place each clip over the folded-over web ends so as to hold the "flaps" very close to the main webbing. Run a bead of SUPER GLUE along the end of the flaps so as to reinforce the stitching. (Do this far away from the machine itself, or you will wind up with drops of super glue where you don't want it. Allow the super glue to dry for an hour or so... just to play it safe.(2) The cradle that holds the accessories can easily be installed upside-down by mistake.Pay close attention to the (very small) pictorial in the assembly instructions. The semi-circular "blades" should be "sticking up" (top-side) when correctly installed. To my mind this is counter-intuitive,.. but this is correct. The caddy is difficult to snap into place, and you may think that you are going to break it, as much force is needed. Position one end into its proper "socket", and snap the other end into place. BE SURE to first thread the puwer cord through the caddy correctly. I did it "upside down" and had to do it over. NOTE: the ONLY WAY to get the cord into the right slot in the caddy housing is to push it downward between the two semi-circular blades of the center accessory boss. The assembly instructions are VERY sketchy in this regard.(3) Number three will only affect fellow left-handed owners: the side-mounted electrical cord "caddy" interferes with your hip if you hang the unit on your right side. The only practical use is to hang the unit (from your shoulder) at your left hip, and hold the "wand" with your right hand. I put the strap over my right shoulder, and the strap crosses my chest diagonally. This provides the most secure body-mounting.(4) Lastly, the unit is a bit heavy, and somewhat clumsy to tote... but that is a function of how well-built it is. The vacuum is very powerful, and very well made. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing product
It's really hard to find a vacuum with bags. Those canisters bagless vacuums are just awful. This model sports exceptional suction, decent bag size and acceptable bag price. During two years of almost none-stop abuse, which most recently included accidentally vacuuming in some water (don't try it though, a short and fire might result, or worse, it's not a wet vac!) it survived and still going great. I fashioned additional seal between lid and bag flange which improved suction even more. On the "con" side, the cord is tad too long and hard to handle and could be rubber rather than plastic which hardens a lot during cold months. Did not use any of accessories
