Mercruiser Carburetor Repair Rebuild Kit 3.0L 4.3L 5.0L 5.7L Mercury Marine

So after about 11 months, (most of that time laid up) the boat started flooding at idle yesterday, after much searching I found that the this BRAND NEW float had cracks in the bottom of it and had sunk. spec was 9 grams this thing now weighed 13.7. I put the 30 year old Borg Warner back in and she is back on the water. Quality on this float just isn't what it should be, so far though the rest of the kit is fine, that is why I still gave it 3 stars

Everything was great all the parts I needed to rebuild my carburetor.. The only issue I had was the new float that was in the kit was damaged. My old one was still good so not a huge issue

DO NOT BUY. float was thin and damaged, poor poor quality. Not only was my float damaged, but the gaskets are bent , gaskets are inside the bag with the air mixture screw , filter and accelerator pump . Kits i bought in the past used small cardboard to brace and support the gaskets.SPEND THE EXTRA 10 OR 20 DOLLARS ON GOOD KIT!

The replacement parts were far from correct. The float weight was 50% too heavy. The plunger was too stiff, spring against seal too small. I threw it all away but the 3 gaskets I was able to use. Going OEM or Sierra next time.

Most of what you needed to rebuild your carburator is in the kit. I found a few pieces to be a little off. The elbow on the accelerator pump was a little bent, so it wanted to slide on the throttle cable linkage. Since this is one of the main components I bought the kit for, that was pretty disappointing because I couldn't use it.

Fit perfect on my boat!!

Unfortunately we couldn't use it, the main gasket didn't cover the Carb

Looks legit but low qaulity and not quite up to spec on measurements . Accelerator pump has clearance issues . Returned my purchase
