Can you use both sides to apply self tan or is only one side velour?

It’s the same both sides so you can use either.

Does the fabric soak in lotion? Meaning less moisturising lotion being absorbed into your skin. Im assuming you can you this for sun cream??

I use it with quite a solid cream (Cetraban) and it only absorbs a tiny bit. I think it’d be ideal for sun creams. Not sure about liquid lotions, it would probably absorb more.

Does it soak up much product so you end up wasting a lot of tanning cream/mousse etc?

I used it will Bondi Beach Tanning Mousse, had no issues at all, distributed and even tan with little to no wastage
