Cheap for the huge quantity you get
This is the only wood filler I could find that wasn’t sold in tiny little expensive containers. Was nice to fill holes without breaking the bank. The stuff sets rock hard and is easy to paint. But do not think it will match your wood, it is very very light in color and nothing like the wood it’s supposed to fill. Use this only if you are painting with solid stain or regular paint. It will be an eyesore through semi stain.

Product Superb, but awful directions
I used this product to fill my hardwood floor when I was refinishing it and it worked great! Only reason I docked a star was for the awful directions and trace amounts of dye not mixing in (I'll explain below). I finished with a drum sander/edger at 80 grit then used this product, then square buff sanded at 80 grit (lots of dust from this product), 100, and finally 120 and the floors came out immaculate. Mixing directions on the product were terrible (3/4 of the bag (only lbs no volume listed) to 1/2 gallon of water). I mixed the product in a bucket with a paint mixing tool attached to a drill. The consistency of melted ice-cream was perfect. If it's too thick it will be VERY hard to spread and you'll end up putting more down than you want. Just slowly add water, until you have this consistency. Be sure to mix it well. MY Mix Directions: Spot Filling - Add water until you have the consistency of regular peanut butter or putty. Floor Troweling - Slowly add water mixing in a bucket and with a drill paint mixer (too difficult to stir this volume) until you have the consistency of melted ice cream. Unfortunately I didn't measure how much water I was adding to get a parts water to powder mix, I'll update if I ever do. The other issue I had was that there were small beads of red dye (for the red oak) and in troweling these would smear. I thought I had a cut on my finger and it was drops of blood at first, but not the case. I was pretty thorough with the mixing so that's not to blame. However they didn't dye the wood and when buff sanded the floor they all disappeared. All in all it is a great product, and it really made my floors look brand new, despite being nearly a century old.

good
The first floor I used it on (a closet) I was shocked to see how poorly it matched the wood. So I used some colored stain and a q-tip to get it to match. Then I stained the rest of the closet floor with clear stain and it turned out ok. Then I installed the wood in the family room, only this time I clear stained the whole floor. I learned that to darken the filler just rub a little more clear stain until it matches. Looks great!! A little experience goes a long way.

This product is terrible. It shrinks as it dries leaving cracks
This product is terrible. It shrinks as it dries leaving cracks and empty spaces which need refilled. It took repeated applications before cracks were filled. There return policy makes it impossible to return and there is misleading web description. Don’t buy it!!

High shrink rate
Easy to work with, but You need to mix it a lot to make sure all the dye is mix. When you think you’ve mix it enough do it for another 5 minutes. Easy to sand, but it shrinks a lot. Anything more than 1/16 will need need multiple applications.
