4 Giant Marimo Mosst Balls ranging in sizes of 1.5-2 inches. These are very popular aquatic plants that require little to no care and go well with plants such as duckweed, driftwood other various aquarium ornaments. They are essential for your aquarium and the life forms within it. By aiding in the removal of algae, nitrogen and phosphate it assures your aquatic plants and pets a clean and healthy life. With the Marimo able to live for centuries your aquarium shouldn't be without one. They make great gifts for all ages as they require no maintenance. Being recognized as a good luck charm by some makes it win-win gift for anyone with an aquarium, terrarium or any other decorative piece. Marimo grow in fresh water at room temperature as long as the water is changed every one or two weeks (more frequently in summer and less often in winter). The marimo can be placed in the refrigerator in hot weather (above 28°C/ 82F), but does not survive freezing. Photosynthesis occurs in normal household lighting; otherwise, indirect sunlight since the marimo is adapted for low light conditions only. If the marimo’s green color turns brownish, it may recover without intervention, otherwise a very minimal amount of salt can be added as a suggested remedy. Slightly squeeze the marimo in clean water weekly. This plant does NOT cause algae problem. Negligible maintenance required. Excellent live plant gift for your friend or loved ones

These are wonderful and exactly as advertised
I purchased these for two tanks. They arrived fluffy, some looked small, however if you research Marimo balls, you will see that they are supposed to be rinsed off and placed in water (which I did before adding to the tanks). I also saw reviews stating they float. Please research before leaving a bad review. Yes, they will float because there are air bubbles inside, so you can do one of two things. You can be patient and they will sink after one or two days, or you can squeeze out the air bubbles and drop them back in. Very simple. Unfair to not research and give the seller apoor rating. I like them, they look beautiful in my tank and they are beneficial. Will order again and will recommend this seller.

Bad quality, bad packaging, bad decision.
The balls arrived flattened in a plastic bag. One of the balls was about 2 inches, the rest smaller than that. Upon removing the four balls from the bag, two of them unfurled to a mess. Move along, these aren't the Marimo moss balls you are looking for.

Beautiful healthy Moss Balls - beware of hitchhikers
These are lovely, large, fluffy Moss Balls. Well worth the price. You may want to pre-treat them if you are not putting them in a tank with fish that eat snails. I put two in a Betta tank and two in a tank that will eventually become a shrimp tank but contains only otocinculus right now. I believe the bladder snails that appeared shortly afterwards arrived as hitch hikers on these Moss Balls. The Betta found them to be welcome snacks. The otos not so much. I'm fighting a small invasion right now. I would happily buy these again, but I wish I'd been more careful to pre-treat before plopping them in my tank.

Nice Moss Balls For A Good Deal!
Good price for Marimo balls compared to the top pet store chains offer. Save yourself some money from buying one big moss ball at the store for ten bucks and buy yourself three decent sized ones about the same size plus a small/medium sized one for twenty bucks (if you have amazon prime I think?). I should inform that one of the moss balls grew a little arm? It was a thin green branch with little fingers spreading out. A forum says it might have been a plant developing inside the moss ball. I should of left it to see what it was but I plucked it. It was totally harmless though. There were some spots of purple/brown on them when i received them, but they went away with some time under some lighting and some nutrient fertilizer i use. Nothing bad though. I'd say it was worth the price! Nice product.

Nice quality plants. Good value for your tank.
I waited several months to write a review. I wanted to be sure the plants did well. The moss balls are thriving- super green and very healthy. My clown loach sleeps on one every night like a pillow lol. Great quality and very healthy plants.

Wow----really large! BUT--they're not marimo, just rolled moss.
The largest one was hollow---but I don't know if that's meaningful. The other three were solid and still very large. Good value if size matters to you.I didn't rinse first---and ended up having to change my aquarium water because the "flush/fill" left an non-settling cloudy result. Instructions would have reminded me to rinse outside of the aquarium. But that's just an oversight. Not the VALUE I thought, given their actual nature.

I love these moss balls
I love these moss balls. I have not been able to keep live plants long in this tank, but these do fine. After over one month they are thriving in my 20gal tank.I now have ten total Marimo balls (various sizes) and they are all well.

Unhealthy Marimos
So disappointed. The Marimos were brown and in one week the largest one developed a black hole, rotted out and had worms! I contacted the sellers who replied immediately and asked for pics which I submitted.
