Not For Beginners - Instructions are not very clear.
I don't know where to start with this book. I got the digital version of it. Here is my review.1. Not for beginners so if you're just learning to sew. This is not for you.2. Not enough photos to show the step by step result of how to make each design.3. Most of the photos were finished tunic photos.I wish they took more time in explaining better and adding photos on how the collars / sleeves designs were made.A video would have also worked perfect.I was very disappointed.

Two-Sided Pattern Bummer
I agree with other commenters - you do need to be a proficient or advanced seamstress to make the tunics due to lack of pictures/instruction. I was pleased with the variety of possible finished looks. And most of the models are real sewing bloggers so they're not just models - they are the ladies that actually made the variations seen. I didn't see any plus-sized models/sewers though. The directions don't include any information on FBA, SBA, full hip/rear adjustments or grading the pattern from one sized to the next. So if you are sewing for a curvier person you REALLY need to know how to make those adjustments already.I haven' t yet made one though. I bought the book version. The biggest bummer for me is that the pattern is 4 pages - but printed back to back on two pieces of paper. I have two little kids so my sewing time is limited as it is. I haven't yet found time to run to the copy shop to reprint 2 of the 4 pages. I also don't have time to sit and trace. I just wanted to cut and go but that two-sided pattern is halting my productivity big time.

I found the patterns easy to use
The Tunic Bible arrived on a Friday and I spent the following weekend reading through all the various neckline, sleeve and hemline variations that can be created. I sewed my first muslin the following day and needed to make minor adjustments to front bodice (lower the bust darts), back bodice (widen the upper back) and sleeve (widen bicep). I found the patterns easy to use, clearly marked, easy to make adjustments to. The directions were good and when things need to get technical, the authors provide resources (which I used!). I admire the authors' philosophy to "fast" ready-to-wear and make your own clothes. And nothing beats a garment that fits your body perfectly. The tunic will become my new work uniform (but I'll be adding pockets to mine!).

I Love It.
I made the Inside-Facing Wide-Split Placket Tunic with Angled Collar. I am short and round and busty. I made the largest size. I only needed to narrow the shoulders a tiny bit and to move the bust darts down a little. My new tunic is so flattering and practical. I will be making many more.I am hoping the authors are working on their next book. The Tunic Bible is such a winner.

Kind of a disappointment
I ordered this ahead of publication, so i was eagerly awaiting its arrival. I make a lot of tunics. This book shows several variations of one tunic pattern. I was hoping for something more , something with more variety. The suggestions for stye changes were all similar. Not very inspiring.

I sewed my first tunic as a proto-type and it fit like a glove
A novice sewer would have trouble following the sewing instructions, but I have to compliment the fit of the tunic. I sewed my first tunic as a proto-type and it fit like a glove!!

Make your own customized clothes!
You will need some basic sewing skills and understanding of the sewing process before embarking on this journey; but in the end, it will be worth it. The patterns in this book are beautiful! I had originally checked this book out at the library, but once I had read through it and saw the possibilities, then I wanted a copy for my permanent library. If you are new to sewing, do not despair. There are plenty of sewing tutorials online, which can help you get up to speed for this book. I have not yet sewn a pattern from the book, but have read it, and it seems to be well written, and quite creative. Once I do make one of the tunics, I'll adjust my review if needed. But so far, I'm very happy.

NOT for beginners, but well-done pattern and inspiring variations/ photos
I am a beginner and this book is definitely NOT for beginners...but the photos are beautiful and the creations inspiring. It really could have used a step-by-step for the easiest version (scoop neck?) and then the variations explained in the shorthand manner in which they are. The muslin I made only needs slight adjustments, so I know the pattern is well-done. I have someone who has helped me and that's why I was able to get this far... beginners will need an experienced seamstress helping or lots of googling and youtube videos. I look forward to making many variations, however, so I guess I'll get better quickly!

Disappointing.
A good concept but I was disappointed with the basic tunic shaping (I am very average sized) which seems to me to be quite dated. The options for sleeves and neckline are also a bit fuddyduddy. The inspirational photos were astonishing - I thought the fabric choices ghastly (except by the African sewist). Ignoring all this as I hoped the basic pattern would be sound, I kept going with my project, but the result was disappointing. I then made my own pattern by drawing round a beloved old tunic from my wardrobe. This will now be my go to pattern.

Brilliant book!
I love this book! I found it whilst looking for something else and had to order it. The book takes you through the history (briefly) and types of tunics and then shows you how to mix and match necklines, sleeves, lengths to create your own garments. Patterns are provided. There are tunics for all occasions, fabrics, sizes. You could make a whole wardrobe of tops and dresses from t his book! Great value for money.

I LOVE THIS BOOK
This book is really inspiring. I have now made 1 tunic and 2 tunic dresses and am delighted with all 3. It's worth spending time making a toile (as recommended). I cut the large size, but it was too big so am making my garments in medium. I have plans for several more tunics, as depending on fabric choice, neckline and sleeve options, they will all look quite different. Great photos, clear instructions and Tunic Bibke Inspiration on Pinterest.

Versatile tops
I haven't got round to making a tunic yet - it's in the queue. I love the versatility of this but it is oh so awkward when it came to choosing the design options for neck, armhole/sleeve, etc. They could have included one or two pages to write in your design choice with the page number needed to avoid the scutter of finding everything. BUT I feel this is a great idea, I hate buying lots of patterns.

Lovely photographs with a paper pattern included.
This book is full of lovely photographs , each model wearing a tunic in a different format. There is a paper pattern at the back of the book. I have not used the pattern yet. The book was not quite what I was expecting however it does give the reader / sewer an idea of how many different ways to make a tunic look different.
