If you read this book and it didn’t help your game, then you didn’t really read this book. This is not a how-to book. This isn’t going to tell you how to play specific hands. What his book will do is illustrate the mistakes bad low-stakes make so that you can use that information to exploit them and make money. You want to make money, don’t you.When you read this book you may even discover that you unconsciously make some of the same mistakes. You will stop making them.This book is a must read for anyone who plays in low stakes games and wants to improve their win rate. This book will definitely do that. I cannot wait to read his other books.

I have played with many donks, but have never seen anyone systematically analyze them. This book does it, and helped me plug some leaks when playing against donks. Easy to read, easy to understand for grinders who have a good basic understanding of the game.

This is a great collection of advice which is already available to players. If I were to recommend a "newbie" strategy book, you could do a lot worse than Selbrede's Beat the Donks.Unfortunately my purchase was predicated on this being a book filled with advice targeted specifically at playing against folks with a very simple poker mindframe. It turns out that this is the case, and the specific strategy advice is: play solid poker.

Excellent book with lots of great information on playing small stakes live poker. If you have played live poker in a casino and are having trouble winning get this book as it will help you look for mistakes you or your opponents are making so you can take advantage of them. This book was better than I thought it would be and worth the money.

If you want to know how to beat low stakes live poker games, this is the one!Recommend highly!

I don't yet play medium to high stakes games, so many of the games I am involved with have Donks as described in this book.Also, realized that some of my play was also described as Donk and I did not realize it until reading this.Significantly improved my game in low stakes tables.

Explains well the concepts that Donk players exhibit and how to exploit them. Can't wait to try what I've learned at the casino!
