what is the difference between the xl and the 1x?

i dont know about the size difference but if you normally wear a XL i would do a 1x (1x is generally the womans size of xl which has some more room in the chest and longer ), this costume runs small. there is a little stretch to you would not want it tight . I wear a 1x/2x and purchased a 3x which fit well. i hope that helps

I'm a size 22. Which size should I purchase to fit me best?

I purchased 3x and I am a 22 but a 3x on top. the bodice is not a true 3x and I could not zip the dress up. I had to let it out to get it to be used.

Beside being cut a bit tight for its size, it depends on body shape. If you have a bit of pair shape going, I would definitely go for the larger.

Is the xxl the 2x? there's only 1x 3x and 3x in the sizing guide but then ordering options are xxl 1x and 3x. asking because xxl is smaller than 2x..

I typically wear a 1X or 2X and I ordered the 3X and it fits perfectly. Free returns I'd get two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit.
