Great advice
I am taking on a new role as team lead next year and wanted to make sure I knew what a good PLC liked like. this book has been extremely helpful in guiding me to what our PLCs should be focusing on!

I am an educational speaker and have been wanting to dig into the PLC+ model. This book is easy to read, written by credible educational researchers and very informational. A great book for anyone wanting to dig into PLC's and learn more about this framework.

This is a great book for moving PLC along. You will want to purchase the playbook to accompany this book.

A slightly different way…
I’ve been the PLC lead at my school for several years, so I read this with quite a bit of background knowledge. The book is organized nicely around the 5 questions central to a PLC+. Those of you who used a different PLC structure will notice the questions are fairly similar and there is one additional question introduced. The book is easy to read, filled with examples and information displayed in quick reference tables. However, this book is very short on resources. In fact, you have to buy another book to access the forms shown in small pictures. The authors kindly tell you what page to find it on in the other book. This is the reason for the 4 stars. I won’t be buying another book to access blank forms. The information is good, but nothing really new. It’s a good place to start for someone new to PLCs.

Excellent resource
This book explains the two main purposes of Professional Learning Communities or PLCs which are to 1) improve how and what we teach and 2) improve learning outcomes. In addition, this book provides tools to enhance attitudes toward learning. The plus part, or +, added to the acronym means you, the reader or educator. This book seeks to be transformative, rather than simply an addition to current PLCs. Overall, it is an excellent guide with many useful tools to transform the learning environment.

Wonderful guide to really utilizing PLCs
PLCs have been the craze for the past several years in my district but the professional learning and books we have been given or suggested to read have been mediocre at best. Finally, a book by the leading voices in education giving us solid advice and purpose behind what we are doing. Every educator should be required to read this book. It will change the collaboration of any school that chooses to utilize the practices and advice inside.
