Question 1

I watched the video and saw that there was a steam trigger... is there a way to have constant steam without pressing the trigger?

Accepted Answer

There is, but I will share that I returned this iron because I was not happy with the amount of steam that it produced just in general use (without having to press the trigger). I purchased a different Rowenta iron (I think Rowenta is the only way to go with an iron). I am not sure of the model number, but my iron is black and green, and I am very pleased with it. Hope this helps!

Question 2

Once the iron is filled with water, is it easy to detect the water line inside the tank? This is a beige color and I assume it should be easy.

Accepted Answer

I have not had a problem detecting the water line when I am ironing. The iron is beige but the tank is kind of pinkish in color. Just to make absolute sure I could easily see the water I got out my iron and filled it half full of water and had no problem seeing the water line. I hope this is helpful. I really love this iron.

Question 3

can this be use cord less

Accepted Answer

No, it has a cord and must be plugged in to use. Here's an excerpt from the product manual: *Warning ! The voltage of your electrical outlet must correspond to that of the iron (120V). Connecting to the wrong voltage may cause irreversible damage to the iron and will invalidate the guarantee.

Question 4

I'm just looking for an iron for sewing projects, want something simple that doesn't dri-leak but don't iron otherwise. Is this worth it?

Accepted Answer

I have used Rowenta irons for all my sewing and quilting for over 10 years. They get really hot, make a lot of steam, and have a larger soleplate than a cheap iron. So, yes, it is worth it because it is much faster to heat up, and I save time because I don't have to go over and over the fabric to get it smooth. I have bought and thrown away so many cheap irons. I won't buy a cheap one again. Rowenta also will stand behind their product. I bought one that I had a problem with; they took it in under the warranty and sent me a brand new, more expensive iron than I had purchased. No hassles.
