This is a true dryer, so it warms up the air to aid in the drying process, but it doesn't get so hot it'll harm delicate surfaces. Review: Excellent Machine, and One of the Most Useful Pieces of Car Detailing Equipment - Let's not beat around the bush...this has to be one of the most useful car detailing tools out there. When you flip both switches, you know you're moving a good amount of air. The great thing too is after just a minute, the air is decently warm, which is a pleasant surprise given there's no heating element. The choice of material for the air nozzle is top notch. It's a durable feeling rubber, not hard plastic. It's not brittle, and it won't scratch your paint. The 30' hose makes moving around the car pretty easy, I couldn't imagine having to constantly pick up the Master Blaster to move around as you would with the 10' hose version. I can't say it's going to get every drop of water off the car, but it will get the water out from every crevice and off the windows. It gets things dry enough to where you only need one small towel to dry what little bits of water are still left on. The fact it gets water out from crevices and hard to reach spaces like inside metallic logos, trim, and rubber stripping is a huge time saver in of itself. Everything about this unit says "quality". The price is certainly not a "con" to this machine as some have pointed out. For how well it's made, and how well it works, I think it's priced fairly. It is pretty expensive? Sure. But it's priced just about at the upper limit of what I'd consider fair. I have long used a blow gun with my air compressor to do many cleaning duties, and between using a vacuum cleaner and the blow gun you could really get things clean. Then there are gas powered leaf blowers that we've seen used to blow the water off of cars and motorcycles. So when I first saw this 8 HP Master Blaster I instantly knew what it was capable of, but didn't know it even existed! While it is sold to blow dry cars and motorcycles, it can be used for so many more things. It does well as a blower for the driveway or garage, either carry it or get a shoulder strap. I use it after mowing the lawn to blow the clippings off of the mower deck, keeps the mower clean and looking new. Of course we use it to blow dry several motorcycles and cars, and for that it is excellent. Noise level isn't as bad as I thought it might be, so it is acceptable to me. But once you start to grasp what all it can do, it becomes even more valuable. I would suggest getting the 10 foot extension hose, nice to have, and for those complaining about the hose coming off of the blower, they likely have trouble with a screwdriver as that is a pretty basic concept of fitting the hose onto the blower as far as it will go and tightening, but not over tightening the clamp. To complain about that is to admit an inability to deal with many things mechanical...... All in all a good piece of equipment, versatile beyond what the manufacturer might realize. Think "big blow dryer" or "big blower" and you can use the air force to make many jobs easier. Drying animals, no problem. Drying or cleaning vehicles, easy. Moving dust and dirt, simple.
