Crosley CR8005A-TU Cruiser Portable 3-Speed Turntable, Turquoise

After doing extensive research into different turntables, I felt like this purchase was going to be a risk. Some reviews say the speakers are too quiet and that the quality is not to their liking. But I would have to say they were very wrong. The quality of audio and turntable itself is excellent. I had to change my order from turquoise to orange because they were out of stock. The orange is not as blaring as it looks on the box or images. It's a nice classic orange. The audio is exactly what I hoped. For those little speakers, they put out quite a bit of sound. If you want a player with fabulous speakers, get an audio system to hook this up to. You're not going to get that in ANY turntable itself. But for my needs and space, the speakers are perfect. Easy and fun to use. I'm definitely recommending this turntable to anyone who is looking for a basic player.My experience with this company was off to a shaky start when they did not have the turquoise one after I placed the order. I changed to the orange turntable. It arrived on time miraculously after pinging the company for a tracking number. I received the tracking number yesterday and then my package arrived yesterday afternoon. Overall, I'm impressed at the promptness of their communications, but disappointed in the fact that I had to chase down my order to confirm they had actually changed it to a turntable they had in stock.

This was delivered on time, well packaged and as expected. At first glance the turntable looks mighty small and cheap. almost too small for the larger sized records. I don't know why this color is called "Turquoise" because it looks more tiffany blue than anything else. My wife was having a bad day, and she looked almost disappointed when I showed it to her. But to my wife and I's surprise, it played flawlessly. Neither of us has ever owned one and we were able to set up and play a record within seconds. It's very user friendly and easy to learn and to add to the list of surprises, it plays very well. I bought this as a christmas present for my wife, but upon seeing it we opened it to make sure it was what we were looking for. It was. My wife's face went from tired, worn and sad to happy and full of life when she first heard it play. She loves the color and the ability to just unplug it and take it with her. The speakers are loud and clear enough for the price/size. Take into account this record player is "portable" so the sound quality isn't meant to be the greatest, but I was delighted. It's louder and clearer than our laptop speakers and filled our downstairs living room with music. Perfect for what we needed. Thank you so much.

I had ordered this turntable and it was diffected (no sound). I ended up having to send it back. The seller was amazing! They helped me every way they could by giving me troubleshooting instructions, then sent me over my return label. They told me the turquoise was back ordered and I'd have to wait until May if I wanted to stick with that color and I was fine with the wait. A few weeks later I noticed that the company had credited the money back to my account, then received a voice message saying that a mistake had been made and that if I still wanted my record player I'd have to repay for it. I just ignored it and figured I'd get around to reordering when it was in stock again. 2 weeks ago I received a note from the apartment office saying I had a package, I was sooo excited to see my record player! I checked my messages and receieved one from the man I had dealt with from the beginning and him saying that they resent my record player with no charge for all my troubles. Such a sweet surprise! I will definitely order from them again, I am so pleased with my player. I have a small apartment and my music fills every room prefectly. LOVE LOVE

EXCELLENT VALUE! Nostalgia in a suitcase. It has been almost a year since I purchased this record player for my partner, and I am still in love. It really is a gift that keeps on giving. It works great, and sounds great, although we plug ours into our stereo system for a louder and more full sound. (If you want the most enjoyment, I would not only rely solely on the record players speakers.) It is a top notch record player, and all of our friends and family are jealous. A few of them who have shoddy second hand store players have been caught drooling over ours because it's newer & works better...oh and it looks really cool in our living room too!This would be a great gift for any music fan, because you get so much out of it. It's something you can use everyday and it also sparks a fun hobby. Collecting records is a rewarding hobby that makes for good bonding. I would recommend this for couples or parents with young adults at home. For us, locating and digging around record stores has been a blast! It's amazing how many little record stores are still around, and most of them are unique thus making just being there an experience.

Habe zuerst bestellt, bevor ich den UK-Netzadapter bemerkt habe und wollte eigentlich vom Kaufvertrag zurücktreten. Allerdings kam der Plattenspieler dann plötzlich mit einem ganz normalen EU-Stecker und alles war gut! Die kleinen Boxen an der Vorderseite liefern zwar nicht die beste Qualität, dafür kann man bei Bedarf aber noch externe Boxen anschließen. Die Verarbeitung ist super und das Design gefällt. Man kann nicht meckern!

Mais le song et pas top alors si vous voulez écouter fort il vaut mieux le brancher sur une enceinte ou baffle via la prise djackMais sinon aucun grésillement et très facil a transporter de plus si vous casser le saphir il est très facil dans retrouvez !!Attention ne vous attendez pas à avoir un tourne disc avec batterie malgré son apparence il faut le brancher pour qu'il fonction.Il y a trois vitesse , et un système automatique qui stop la rotation du disc des qu'il n'est plus sur la bande sonse qui et pratique car on peut écouter la musique et la laisser tourner sans craindre d'abimer la point .Il y a également un bras de levier se qui permet de soulevé et de dépose le saphir en toute délicatesse en sans abimer le vinyle !C donc un très bon produit et très design !!Et très vintageEt je le répète qualité de son parfaite :) :) :)

Leí opiniones que decían que no se escucha bien y tal, pero yo opino que es perfecto: tiene ese sonido típico de disco y los altavoces son bastante potentes, sin tener que ponerlo al máximo yo lo oigo por toda la casa, es genial.El color azul es precioso, muy limpio.Lo único malo que diría es que los acabados laterales pueden ser algo mejores, pero el conjunto es adorable.

Well, I've finally found a good quality portable Record Player!Have no illusions; companies no longer make good quality portable record decks - these went out decades ago, and I'm surprised at anyone out there even thinking they are going to get even a reasonably good quality sound from any of these modern portable record players you see available - whatever you pay. As records have long since ceased to be the predominant format for the reproduction of music, this will always be the case Okay; so they are coming back, (records that is) but it's still digital music now that people seem to care about. However; what I personally was looking for in a portable player, was not something I'd trust with my prized vinyl collection - I have a huge HI FI system for that, but something portable and easy to pull out for when I often purchase a vintage 78 record, as I own several mechanical gramophones and thus do possess a fair collection of 78s. There are times however, when it's not always convenient or possible to crank up my gramophone, and whilst they are the best type of players for giving true reproduction for this medium, I thought it would be useful to have something `simple' to pull out as explained, and to switch on in an instant. Before purchasing this Crosley model, I'd already purchased two or three others which I need to get around to reviewing that I had to return; they were such cheap, nasty and poorly packaged (and I don't mean by the people who sold them - but the manufacturers!) and were generally a load of crap...Now, I repeat; if you're looking for something to play your prized collection of 45s and 33s, or a reasonably good sound to listen to and to enjoy, do not look at any of these portables for that - you will never be satisfied, even though sound quality (if you can call it that) may vary slightly from model to model. However; if like me, you want only to play 78s, then you won't find better than this one! It's SUPERB! The others I'd had just highlighted the `hiss' and surface noise inevitable on an old 78 record - the volume level was SO low (even on its highest output position) one could not hear the recording adequately over this. Okay; so I do sometimes have to have this Crosley model at full volume, but even when you don't, you can still hear the recording above the `hiss'. But most of all, the quality of this product is second to none!It came BEAUTIFULLY boxed, BEAUTIFULLY packed (from the factory) - even the plastic bags had folded corners in them! It also came with a separate turntable mat which at least tells you they know you care about your records! Plenty of polystyrene for protection in transit. The build and leatherette effect is SUPER , and as I am SO unlucky; if there's anything with a mark, dent or damage out there - I always get it, and so I took a very big risk in purchasing the lightest colour available because I liked it, but there was not a single, dent, mark, flaw of any kind! If only you knew how much stuff I get with this kind of fault, you would realise my amazement! This really looked as if the people who made it actually cared about their reputation, and that it got to you in PERFECT condition!This also has a lot ore plusses than the previous ones I'd had that I'd returned had not got; for instance, it sounds even better with headphones - the others didn't. I can also plug a lead into my MP3 player and convert the records I play - these valuable 78s into digital format - then upload them to my computer, and make CDs and so I can have permanent copies in case any of my valuable 78s ever get broken or damaged! I also hunted out a pair of speakers from my very first PC that I still had in the loft - and plugged these in, and it sounded absolutely amazing, which means at least that if nothing else, they've put a far better cartridge/pick up in this model than any of the others I'd had...I could go on and on, but how you would view this for playing 45s and 33s for enjoyment and pleasure, as they are recorded using more modern facilities, is for you to decide... This will not really produce any bass... (which I love) You may want to chance it, but as I said at the outset; for what I wanted, this could NOT be bettered for me! I'm actually quite moved by the fact they even included a 78 speed facility, as I should imagine very few people indeed in this modern world would even own a 78 record - let alone wish to hear them play, and so I am suitable delighted and grateful to Crosley for this!For the reasons and purposes I have highlighted, I would recommended this model above all others to everyone and anyone without hesitation! There's far less plastic involved in the build of this one, the on/off switch feels quality and won't give out. No fancy gimmicks like added radios you don't need, buttons or plasticky add-ons - what you see is what you get. After the pieces of trash I'd had previously from the numerous models out there - I'm SO glad I came across this little gem!A million stars from me! (remember; for what it is - for what it costs and the times of terrible taste we now live in...)IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember to NEVER use a stylus - even after only one use on a 78 record on a 45 or 33; it will instantly damage them due to the nature of vinyl. On old players they used to `flip over' for this reason - now you have to change the stylus each time.
