I got these speakers to replace the blown out ones in our travel trailer. And the review is in. For the money they are a great buy. They can handle what the Pioneer is dishing out at 45w per channel. I will say this, they are not Bose, JBL or JL's, and I'm not pushing 1000w either, but at the race track these have worked great, and besides you aren't mixing an album out here. Plenty of bass with these, I wished they had a little better highs out the tweeters. They are also just a bit bigger than the stock 6.5 speakers I removed. About 1/4" to 5/16" to be exact. So if you are finicky and picky with what you want to hear then maybe you should buy the Bose and listen happily ever after. If you want inexpensive that works great then give them a try. I'm glad I did.

I actually bought these a few months ago. Finally, I got my boat running so I could actually test them on the water. The sound is perfect! Before buying these speakers, I looked on Amazon for a lot of products. I considered Boses, Infinitys, and JBLS. Everyone knows that all of those brands are good. I was kind of nervous about buying the cheaper speakers because I still wanted good sound on the water. I read a review on these where the author said "don't think you need to spend a lot on speakers because you don't". I bought these speakers based on that review. They are loud and sound really good. Save your money and buy these speakers. You will not be let down. They really are perfect for the lake. I bought 4 of these and installed them myself in my 84 Larson. I could hear the sound well even at full throttle on a 188 HP Mercruiser. They are running from a Sony CDXM30 which was also bought from Amazon. Great speakers, Great price. Do yourself a favor and purchase these. You will be happy. Boss is a great brand.

These speakers rock! I installed them after blowing the factory speakers in our new pontoon after the second time out... the Jensen radio put out too many watts for the 2 x 50 watt speakers that came from factory. The only issue installing these was the hole needed to be enlarged by 1/4” all around. Screw holes lined up but magnet housing is kind of bulky. But after installing 4 of these, I can’t blow these at full volume, and I don’t even cruise at 3/4 volume because these things are loud! Half volume sounds awesome and the sound quality is very good. Waterproof as well, we keep it covered unless on the lake, but we got caught in torrential rains and hail with 60mph winds soaking everyone and every square inch of the pontoon, and these things didn’t miss a beat during it. Yes, I had the music going trying to get to shore. I am very satisfied with them so far, I hope to get a few years out of them .

First - Box was ripped. Looked like a returned unit. Whoever boxed it at Amazon sure as hell did not care about his job or providing good customer service. No pride, Took it and throw in it the shipping box.Second - No template for the hole. That stinks. I mean really how much more to make a paper template. No paper work of any kind other than a warranty card (READ THIS. I will come back to it). Going to the BOSS website is U S E L E S S.So i used Coreldraw and made some circles at different sizes and printed and cut them out. 5.75" was perfect. Speakers slid right in. I had to cut out the previous speaker hole since it was too small too but went fine.These are 4 ohm speakers so make sure you can run them if mixing with 8 ohm speakers. If so you need to run each on its own channel. Turned on the radio and sounded pretty decent. So lets see how they do out in the water.Thirdly - So back to this warranty card. I actually for once read one. If you return these speakers for warranty work you pay for shipping ( pretty normal) to them BUT you MUST also enclose a check for $20.00 ($35.00 for Hawaii/Alaska/Cananda and PR) to pay for the shipping BACK TO YOU ! WTF is up with that. ?!?!. To me that SUCKS ROYALLY. And of course pay for postage to mail in this stupid registration card.

These things are unreal. I bought an old boat and wanted to upgrade the sound system. However, I'm new to boats and felt there was a real chance that I would sink it/break it, so I didn't want to put too much $$ into it. I bought two sets of these and the Boss no-mech 4x50 head unit. All together, I spent around $85 total. The boat had two speakers originally, so I had to cut another two speaker mounting holes. When I finally got all wired up, I couldn't believe how loud these cranked. As far as I'm concerned, these would be a good deal at double or triple the price. If you give these less than 5 stars, you fall into one of three categories: 1) You're impossible to please 2) Yours are defective 3) You want to be known as an "audiophile". Being an audiophile must be the new cool thing since I saw that term pop up a thousand times, while trying to find some speakers. I'm no audiophile, but I definitely know music and I like it very loud and clear. These will do.

Replaced a set of Aquatronics with these. Much fuller sound range and quality. Installation was a breeze with the included template (old speakers had a smaller footprint). Love that it came with a gasket...adds a water resistant quality to install without having to use sealant. Sound quality isn't amazing (it's very "bassy") but it gets very loud with only a 50W stereo pushing them. It's nice to hear the music over my old two-stroke.For the price the initial quality and sound can't be beat. We'll see how the long term does.
