this is a real beauty secret. There's zero petroleum or other artificial ingredients. I'll use it once a week in my hair at bedtime and shampoo as usual in my shower and because it's all natural it washes out easily and because it comes from hair (wool) my hair recognizes it and actually absorbs it leaving my hair stronger. Put it all over by dabbing it on skin then when my body heats it up I can start dabbing all over to blend. My hubby who's sensitive to Everything used it on an irritated red and itchy spot on his arm and was amazed that his skin was totally healed when he work up. He's tried all kind of OTC dreams for that spot with zero results and was skeptical but desperate when he tried this. He's a believer now :) Dab around my eyes at night and in the morning fine lines are gone and stay that way all day into night. I've recommended this to a friend , a woman of color with natural hair and she couldn't believe a white girl gave her the best hair tip she'd ever got. When I saw all the reviews regarding the smell, I was a little concerned; though, having many Irish wool sweaters in the family, as well as using wool wash for my knits, I am no stranger to the smell of lanolin. That being said, from the reviews I assumed that the smell would be extremely pungent! I just want everyone to know that it honestly is not bad at all—it just has a hint of that “barnyard” smell. With lanolin literally being the oil produced by sheep, I honestly don’t know why so many people were surprised by the smell; it’s almost like complaining that mead tastes like honey. But, I digress! I have extremely sensitive skin and for the past year or so I have found that I have developed a reaction to beeswax—specifically when it comes to lip balms. I’ve only been wearing this lanolin for a little over 24hrs now, and I can already tell a considerable difference! My lips feel incredibly soft and retain their moisture for a substantially longer time than other balms (and let it be noted that I currently have bronchitis and have been blowing my nose a ton and drinking lots of fluids). It has the consistency of a super thick honey, or a sticky wax. I appreciate that it’s a natural remedy for my skin issues, and the smell doesn’t bother me one bit! It’s more evident upon first application, but fades quickly. Definitely recommend!

I bought this product because I have a periodic heat rash on my neck. When it goes away, it leaves my skin super dry and crepey looking. I use lotions, but they don’t seem to work. After using it for one day, my neck has become less red and blotchy. I still have a few really dry areas, and I reapply the lotion to soothe those areas. I may be giving this 5 stars prematurely, but nothing I’ve used thus far has helped this quickly. My only complaint is the initial smell, which is slightly barnish (comes from a sheep, so I expected something), but the smell lessens as the minutes go by. Or I just get used to it. I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling with a rash or really dry skin. Just be aware others may smell you and wonder!

I like the natural smell and it works great. It's very moisturizing and protecting. It's thick and easy to apply. I personally perfer the glass jar, and it's a great value. My only complaint is that there a huge air bubble hole that went to the bottom and a bit under the top layer in the jar I received so I didn't get a full jar.

Nice clean moisture lock for my skin after cleansing and moisturizer. It's also great for helping heal my skin where I recently had surgery and stitches removed. I love this because it has no weird ingredients I can't pronounce and I know it is actually good for my skin. A tiny bit goes a long way. The jar is small but it will probably last a year.

As a person who has lived on a beef farm since day 1, I thought the reviews were being dramatic, but have no doubt this smells very strongly of sheep. I was going to return the product but I was desperate to find something that would stop the itching of my stretch marks as I enter the last month of my pregnancy. 3 days of using it once a day has done wonders to my skin. No more insatiable itching, but trust the smell still lingers after hours and .nothing. masks the smell completely

I love this product, great quality. It deeply nourishes my dry skin and chapped lips. I only need to apply it 1-2 times a day, unlike other skin care products that need constant reapplication. I read other reviews about the smell, but it doesn’t have a smell. Naturally sourced and pure lanolin is great for all skin types. I will be purchasing again, and I’d recommend this product to anyone.
