I had no issues taking this product. My midwife recommended taking this towards the end of my pregnancy, so I did as she advised. It doesn't taste like pine, and it's easy to swallow. No side effects for me. Lasts about a month depending on the bottle size and how many you take. I've purchased for 2 pregnancies and would again, if she advises in the future. NOW is supposed to be a good quality brand, and the price is good for a supplement.

I do a ton of research on herbs. This one is definitely worth having in your medicine cabinet. Tons of amazing qualities. Give it a go - you'll see.

I started taking this 2 months ago(1mg per kilo body weight) to replace the super enzymes and the papaya enzymes that I was taking for my endometriosis. It did not work as fast but after 2 weeks I stopped feeling the mild pain from my endometriosis and it has not come back. I haven't gone for a doctor's check-up to see if it had kept my endometriosis down but so far the pain has not come back, so i'm optimistic. Will update or make a new review after my next check-up. As for the aesthetic part, I haven't seen any improvement on my skin, I read that takes time. It definitely kept me more awake/alert. I made a mistake taking it once at night and it kept me up for 2 hours after I went to bed, not good.

Excellent for the eye

A Naturopathic Doctor recommended these to me for vascular leg pains. Since taking them, the pain in my legs has stopped! When I forgot them one day, the pain was back by that night. This supplement is said to be very beneficial for the entire vascular system. I will continue to use it. I had a blood clot and a disease that effects endothelial quality and growth in blood vessels & veins. This product has really helped. Quick note: I bought Solgar brand first and they worked well, they were half the size of these pills; I liked that. I switched to NOW brand because it was much more cost effective to buy it with 150 pills in it compared to Solgar's which only had 30 pills in it for the same price.

I have used pycnogenol for about a year. I cannot say enough about its amazing effects on my skin ( also here [...] ) but after 6 months or so my hair started falling out so much and thinning as well, especially right before my period and then my periods kind of got delayed for 3-5 days. I went to my gynecologist and after some basic tests, it turned out that my prolactin levels were high (around 60). then they sent me to internal medicine where they did so many tests on me to find out the cause (including MRI) finally my doctor asked me to stop taking any supplements (he knew that i was taking this as an antioxidant) and then he tested me after a month and my prolactin level had returned to normal. I know everyone is different, it might not have any side effects on you but I just wanted to let you know in case you notice these effects. I guess taking any supplement for a long time is not a good idea, you should take a break for a week every month or so.
