Very good product
I own several Vortex products now and I especially like this one. I have a few of them mounted on rifle scopes which assists in making a clean, level shot when doing longer range shooting. I especially like the fact it has a strong mounting bracket and is still light weight. Very happy with Vortex and this bubble level and we highly recommend this particular bubble level.

Made in China
I was really hoping the build quality would be a little better on this scope level. However, it functions flawlessly and does the job. I don’t feel the value was quite there for a product that came out of China.Insulation was a breeze once leveled on the scope. It’s a handy way to make sure best accuracy is achieved with a level crosshairs.

Doesn't work for razor HD
Just a heads up for those with larger scopes, like the 34mm razor HD's, these do NOT stick out far enough to see them behind the turrets. For those with smaller scopes with thinner turrets they should work fine, but if you have Vortex's higher end scopes you'll need something that sticks out more.

Vortex vs Discovery bubble level
Photos tell the story. Discovery level vs Vortex level. Pros and cons for both. Discovery - 1. Small and dainty 2. Needs to be mounted on shooter side of turret. 3. Larger distance between bubble and side lines. 4. Bubble moves slower due to thicker fluid. 5. Bubble level glued in position. 6. About $9. Vortex - 1. Bigger and beefier 2. Best mounted on muzzle side of turret. 3. Smaller distance between bubble and side lines. 4. Bubble moves quickly due to thinner fluid. 5. Bubble level held in place by snap ring. 6. About $35. Summary: The Discovery fits and looks better on the Leupold 1" scope tube. The small size does not interfere with the turret visibility or use. The Vortex is a bit bulky and awkward looking on the 1"scope tube, but is a higher quality item. The large size mandates mounting it on the muzzle side of the turret. The Vortex, in the 30 mm size, looks and works great on a large, long-range scope, with big turrets (see photos). Customer wish - That Vortex would make a quality level the size of the Discovery brand, for a 1" scope tube. P.S. The 1" Vortex bubble level that I received was made in China. Update: I purchased another Vortex bubble level to replace the Discovery brand, which had too much distance between the bubble lines.

Simple device that gets the job done! (Works well for airguns, too!)
The bubble level is very useful for any shooting situation where bullet or pellet drop is significant. I don't shoot any power burners, so I cannot say anything about the effectiveness on PBs.For airguns with a slow muzzle velocity (400 to 500 fps), pellet drop is significant even at a distance of 25 yards! I find the bubble level significantly improve my accuracy for target practice. It is important to note that this device only works well when it is calibrated right. In other words, the receiver of the gun, the scope and the bubble level all have to agree in order to achieve better accuracy. I use a Segway Reticle Leveler to help align the receiver, scope and the bubble level. If you are a right eye shooter, put the bubble level to the left of the scope. This way, you can keep your left eye on the bubble level while using your right eye to aim. The level is symmetric, so it works the same way for left eye shooters. If possible, place the bubble level further out on your scope so that the bubble level overlaps the cross hair when you aim. My shorter scope does not give me much of an option but to mount the bubble level close so the bubble level appears further to the right of the reticle, but it still works fine.
