The watch is about 8.5" in length, and Watch Dimension is H2 x L2 1/4 x W3/4". The projection result is actually very good in the dark, just play with it to find the best result. To activate the watch, pull the little piece of plastic tab off in the back of watch. Batteries are included inside the watch already

Super cute, but not for my kid
I'm sure your kid might be responsible and is capable of leaving things alone. My kid on the other hand, can't do that. The buttons to adjust the time and other settings are large and on the outside of the watch-right in the exact location for a small child to see and want to push fifty thousand times. Every time I checked the watch, she had pushed buttons and messed it all up. Also, I never got the projector part to work which is fine by me because she would probably push that a million times as well. Cute, but my daughter is currently wearing it as a glorified bracelet.
