The Hammiest!
This cured "country" ham was awesome. So good that I sent a whole ham to my family in Virginia for the Holidays. I grew up eating local country ham, and living in NYC for some years, I hadn't had it in ages. I got such a "hankerin'" for it, and starting surfing for authentic country ham. BOOM! I found it, and will be ordering again. We had ham slices, ham biscuits, red eye gravy, green beans with ham, and finally picking the bone clean, I made a tasty ham salad/spread for sandwiches. Thanks, Burgers' Smokehouse, YUM!

Good product
This was a good product. I ordered two hams. The company sent me a complimentary package of bacon, too. I was a little surprised how much fat was on the ham, but it seems normal. The ham was delicious. I recommend soaking the ham for twelve hours as the instructions that come with the ham say. They say soaking is optional, but I soaked mine for twelve hours and it was delicious. Anyone who says the ham is too salty isn't soaking the ham. Good service and product. A bit expensive, but worth the cost for a special meal.

Attic Aged Ham
It was fabulous, I wish that it would have come with directions on cooking and baking. I had to search the internet for recipes so that this ham was not overly salty. We ended up soaking the ham overnight, simmering the ham for 2 hours, and baking the ham with a glaze. It was great, definitely more salty as we got closer to the bone.

True Southern country ham -- Delicious & everything I remembered
I've looked for a good country ham ever since a past trip to Tennessee, where it was served in a restaurant. Not available here in the Northwoods! But this is definitely the real stuff. It's much stronger flavored than regular ham, and very salty -- which, lord help me, I love. A small serving goes a long way, though. Also, it's not pink like most ham, and it is MUCH firmer. You'll need a sharp knife! We started out frying it by the slice. Then I baked it, whole, and dumped the grease. But that dried it too much, so I then boiled it to soften and reduce the salt a little. Used the water from that to make the BEST bean soup I've ever made. Now we just cut off a thin slice at a time and warm it in the frying pan.

Yummy!
The real deal in country style hams. Half ham was perfect for family of 4 Christmas meal. Yes, you better soak it. I cook mine in Dr. Pepper. Ancient Southern secret.

Not great fresh, but oh what bean soup!
We baked it as they described, including soaking for 12 hours. As grandson said "Metalic." However, it made outstanding Carribean Black Bean soup, which is what we bought it for in the first place.
