Maximum 50% DEET Insect Repellent Aerosol 125ml

This Jungle Formula Maximum Strength spray does exactly what it says — it’s 50% DEET, so it’s very effective at keeping all the little critters away. It doesn’t smell great, but that’s a small price to pay for such strong protection. It’s okay on the skin, though it can be a bit drying if used frequently, so I’d recommend applying a bit of moisturizer afterward. The 125ml size is good — it lasted us a couple of weeks for two people with regular use, which feels reasonable. Overall, if you want reliable, maximum-strength insect protection, this does the job very well.

This is the best in my opinion. It’s not natural, it’s chemical, but that’s why it works! I use only this and though it’s a strong smell, it stops us all getting bitten which is the most important thing!

It does work very well. One can doesn't seem to last long, maybe a week's worth if you stretch it but as others have mentioned it does absolutely stink. I recommend using it in a well ventilated area, I made the mistake of spraying it on in the bathroom of my holiday let and nearly suffocated.

I just bought this and the Spray Oil version, It works, cheaper than Trek50, used both in EGYPT on any exposed skin during the Night, Aerosol I’ll take to Tenerife September, Spray Oil I’ll keep for warmer Climates Next Year ( Egypt etc ).

I get terrorised by mosquitos every summer, they love my type O blood. Used this spray and the bugs started biting my type A blood partner instead who usually never has a problem with them!! Be careful not to spray in a small room as the smell is very strong

Was good but awful smell and took breath away

I thought the spray-on format would be a good idea but not so much with such a caustic product. Obviously, it's deet and it repels insects so it's going to be caustic, but when you spray it rather than smooth it (even if you spray it into a cupped hand first) you end up breathing it in which is unpleasant, and to reach your legs you lean through the mist in the air and I found tiny amounts must have ended up on my face, resulting in very dry flaky skin, especially around my eyes. In terms of repelling insects - so far so good. I wear it on my legs when I wear shorts dog walking in the countryside. You have to replace it more like every 4 hours than every 16, But so far no bites. My legs end up quite dry but I'm using it every day so perhaps that's par for the course. I'll likely just buy a different format of the same product :)
