I wear shorts under skirts/dresses. The first time I put them one, I thought they were a little 'fitted' around my thighs but I continued to pull them up like you would with pantyhose and I had no problems what so ever. Once I got them on, they did not feel as 'fitted' and were rather comfortable. I would definitely get another pair. They are mostly cotton, and the fit seems to be accurately described. I got a M and I usually wear a size 6 jeans. They are snug, but not binding.
