Pyle PL1090BL 10-Inch 1000 Watt DVC Subwoofer I made a mistake when measuring my blown out speaker. I measured 10 inches and ordered a 10 inch speaker. The speaker I actually wanted to replace was essentially 12 inches. With that being said, I'm glad for the mistake. I made a reducing ring and mounted the speaker in the box I already had. Since I already knew about Pyle's quality, I was a happy camper when the speaker was hooked up and my home theater amp was powered up. My home theater set-up is a 5.1 surround sound system that's rated at 125 watts per channel. My front speakers are three-way bookshelf types with 10 inch drivers, 6 inch mids and horn tweeters. The sub was connected in parallel with the mains, since it would pose no problems with the amp. I put in a blu-ray disc, that I knew was loaded with low-range sound effects, in the player, and cranked up the volume. It was one of those "open your windows and share it with your neighbors" moments. The sound was clean, clear and the lows were extremely tight. What's more is that it shook the house. I know that listening to speakers is subjective; the same speaker will sound "different" to two or more listeners; however, for sub-woofers, as long as the lows are there, it'll shake you out of your shoes, which is the main thing. This was an exceptional value for a raw-frame speaker. If you have a sub-woofer enclosure, or want to build a box, installing one of these subs will fit your bill. You can't beat the quality of this speaker. It produces more bang for your buck than you can imagine. Since this sub is rated at 1,000 watts, you can't hurt it. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, Pyle Drivers are a great value. And Amazon is the place to get you exactly what you want; and at a price that's easy on your wallet.

These subs hit very very hard i love them for 30 bucks a peace. I cant believe it, I put 4 of them in a ported box in my 2002 Yukon i have them wired at 4 ohm with a Planet Audio 4000 watt amp the subs are only getting 1500 watts. Each sub says there 1000 watts that is peak, i'm guessing 300 RMS per sub but I've had them for 2 weeks there still breaking in they don't have a lot of flex yet. i have no complaints the sub is actually 10.5" across not 10" just fyi there very heavy subwooofers. They say 70oz magnet and there is 2 of them but idk why there are 2 70oz magnets lol. If you have any questions just ask on my review i did post a video of them on youtube it wont let me paste the link to amazon for some reason. for $30 you cant go wrong i promise i know what people say but just from my experience i would highly recommend these subs for any one. I've had re sex, db k5 okur, db speed, db platinum, kicker L7, kicker comp, and punch p3, ive had stereo systems that cost me $2000 and $3000 and this one is amazing for the price.

Update: six years later, these subs still kick!! Spent about 3 months breaking them in. After they sounded great when the power was increased. They spent the next five years in my trunks impressing all my friends. Very responsive bass in the 60-100hz range. The durable gaskets have held up with no sign of wear. The huge double stacked magnets seem to be key to their performance. I currently have one of the speakers in my home theater sub box powered by my dedicated onkyo speaker amp. It shakes the house very well and brings the theater experience home. 10/10 would by again. Well constructed and sound great in my bandpass box. There was like, no packing material around the subs to keep them safe, One of the speakers had actually broken out of one of the boxes. Even though they are 30$ some care in keeping them safe would be nice.

Sounded great for about 4 months had it on a 350 rms 2 channel amp but stopped working by 4th month and rms is 500 watt I wasn't even pushing it but subwoofer crapped out and I even bought a 2 year extended warranty on it but was told they can't warranty it which is odd I thought that is y we buy warrantys so if it breaks they replace it but not amazon or the warranty company or pyle u get screwed so if u want a low quality subwoofer blue wave pyle is the one but if u want real performance I suggest u shop some were else like century 2000 to get a real subwoofer like jl audio that can handle the stress and gives good warranty if they fail

Iv owned this sub for 1 month now and it has satisfied my needs for the the bottom end of my stereo. I have it hooked up to an alpine 300 watt 2 channel amp bridged and hooked the sub coils up is series for an 8ohm circuit. Sounds good for rock and death metal but flat out beats to rap. I bought it to replace my jlw0 10 so it's sitting in the ported box the shop hooked me up with. Also I'm basing my experience with this sub in an extended cab ford ranger so... Interperate how you like

I have had these in the back of my SUV for about a month now, and I have to say I was not expecting them to hit as hard as they do. I have these mounted in a sealed dual chamber box I bought from Best Buy so I'm sure its not super great quality, and I'm using a cheap amp that was given to me. The one thing I was worried about is how these would respond to music that has double bass pedals going, and these guys handle it VERY well. I listen to all sorts of metal, anything from Metallica to Allegaeon and I haven't found a single song where these sound bad yet. Thus far I am very happy with the performance of these subs, and if anything changes in the next few months I will update this review to include any problems I find **Update So I've had these guys in my SUV for almost 6 months now, and they are still holding up to the abuse I put them through. Only issues I have had have been amp related, so these guys have definitely lived up to the price!

they sound good. cant complain much because they were a good bargain... just wished they lasted longer. Mine started sounding kinda iffy after several months. not recommended for true music heads, but for me, it served its purpose which was to give me a decent sound until I could afford to replace it with the woofer I truly wanted. They don't handle lows or highs very well but they do a good job with the mids. They rattled my trunk but i would have liked to hear more richness in the lower tones.

This is a terrible sub. It sounds muffled and almost like it's blown. I bought this brand new and within a week I had to take it out and replace it with an 8 year old sub. Don't waste your time or money with thus.
