I have been happy with this paper
I have ordered it several times, in a few different sizes, over the past couple of years. There's not really much more to say than that- it seems to be good paper at a good price. It handles ink well, and it is an adequate weight. I will keep buying it for my prints.

Premium Photo Paper (Matte): A Comparison between Finestra, Staples and HP
My home office supply has at present: Royal Brites Premium photo paper (brilliant glossy), Staples matte photo supreme paper, HP matte premium photo paper as well as HP premium presentation paper. I also have high quality, premium card stock. My printer is an HP Officejet Pro 8625. I will not include Royal Brites in the comparison because I use mostly the glossy side (although matte side is really good, too). All come in 8x11 size and I compared 50 sheet prices.Finestra's bright white side is by far the best of the 3 in the premium matte category. I find it to be as thick/heavy as the Staples paper.Staples comes a very close second but it is significantly more expensive, unless you purchase it from Amazon. If you're thinking of doing 2-sided printing, best get Staples matte photo paper. It dries faster, prints well on both sides.Pictures come out equally, vividly clear. One should get used to identifying the "bright white side" of Finestra paper -- the difference in clarity (and drying time) is quite evident if you print on the wrong side. So, for double sided printing, I would recommend Staples (buy only from Amazon for best prices).Single sided printing, Finestra.HP paper belongs to the recycling bin. It's not even worth talking about if you're seriously thinking of printing your creative work.'hope this helps :)

GREAT PAPER!!
I make party decorations/ printables using a Target brand matte photo paper that's been great but I need something thicker for invitations. I am SO pleased! This paper does not disappoint! It's bright white and the thickness is great. Don't forget to take the first (top) sheet off - I got excited, didn't realize it was only a protective sheet and printed on it (blonde moment, I know :) The clear packaging has a sticker stating which is the printable side and if you hold it up to the window you can tell which is the correct, brighter side. Now if I could just find this type of paper but even THICKER I'd be set! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Unhelpful as to which side to print on.
Not a single clue (except "the printable side is the whitest side") which side to print on. Perhaps a helpful hint such as: "When you open the box the printable side is....." Nope. Nothing.Or, how about a watermark? Now that would be handy. Hmmmm...

I have to say that this paper takes ink so well!!It brings colors to life!!!I really like the way my prints look and the thickness as well as how it feels is amazing. I am very pleased with this product and will definitely buy it again, and again, and again.

Love the texture
I chose this paper because I was making prints of a pastel drawing. Love the texture. Easy to use and makes nice prints. Be sure to print on the bright white side. I held the paper up near a window to ensure I was printing on the right side. The back is a subtle shade of gray not easily discerned, so be careful. My customers cannot tell that he copy is not an original drawing. I've also experimented using the paper for high end cards.

Very unhappy with this paper...
I've never had such problems with photo paper before. Nothing I do produces a really good print. My printer is an HP 5746 and I was printing from Photoshop...could not get a good image from any setting I tried. Finestra claims they will do a printer profile for you if the paper doesn't work...THEY WILL NOT. Apparently the person who worked there has been out on medical leave and they have no one else to do it so they want to send me some other companies to contact so I can purchase a printer profile that MIGHT work. Bad news. Waste of money, time, and ink.
