EXCELLENT STEAM CLEANER
I purchased this product to assist in an engine restoration / rebuild and I have to admit, I was almost expecting to be dissapointed in the machines ability to remove 30+ years of oil deposits and sludge. I am happy to say that I have been very impressed with how well this steamer works. (For an overall review of the steamer, skip to the second paragraph as I will detail how well it works on engine parts here first). Through trial and error, I found the best way to use the steamer on small engine parts (piston heads for example) is to secure the operating handle to a stationary object at a working height (I used duct tape to secure the handle to a lighting stand). The hose is plenty long enough to secure it at a standing or sitting height. Attach the jet-point nozzle to the end of the handle wand and select an appropriate detail wire brush for scrubbing (your own wire brush). When the unit reaches operating pressure, pull the trigger and activate the trigger lock, so you are hands free from the wand. You can now hold the engine part in one hand and the wire brush in the other (if you are smart you will wear rubber gloves, safety goggles and a respirator). Hold the steam directly onto the part in one specific spot for about 4 to 5 seconds before begining to scrub. Burnt oil deposits come off with only moderate pressure applied with the brush. The steam will run continuousy for about 40 minutes. Refilling and reheating to operating pressure takes only 15 minutes. Accessory attachments include a plastic scraper nozzle and bronze wire brush nozzle which are excellent for larger, flat items like a skid plate, oil pan, or frame rail. For smaller parts or those with a lot of contour, you will have to use the jet-point nozzle and your own wire brush, but it works like a champ. Much better than a parts washer and water-based solvents. You can order additional nozzles in 5 packs (bronze wire brush) which isn't a bad idea if you have a lot of large parts. In general, this steamer is a very well made product. It is compact, lightweight and has numerous useful attachments. I cannot state how important it is to read the instructions for the best results and to avoid damage to certain surfaces. The unit provides continuous steam for 40+ minutes at a temperature that cleans very effectively. There is no such thing as "dry" steam cleaning. Some manufacturers try to make that claim based on the fact that once a surface has been heated to the temperature of the steam, when the steam is removed the temperature of the surface itself will evapoate any remaining water vapor and the surface will feel dry; however, there will have been a reasonable amount of water vapor and condensation produced to get to that point, so the surrounding area will still be damp. Understand that when objects heat and cool condensation occurs, so there is no such thing as dry steam cleaning. Condensation also occurs inside the hose, wand and nozzle in between steam applications, so when the trigger is activated after an idle period, water will be expelled from the nozzle before the steam starts to flow. Direct this water into a sink, toliet, tub or bucket during cleaning (if you are using it outside, it probably doesn't matter). Use care if you are cleaning hardwood or faux-wood floors. A mistake on fabric or carpet usually just means it will be wet and have to dry out, on a wood floor this steam can warp or de-laminate surfaces if applied improperly - read the instructions. Despite the warnings - I bet that most people would love this steam cleaner and find many uses for it. I found it excellent for windows, bathrooms, kitchen areas and cleaning engine parts. My only knock on the design is that it does not carry its accessories well. There is a net provided to be placed on the end of the machine that I don't like - it isn't very useful, and the tote bag for the larger floor accessories is flimsy and unsecure; so my advice is to buy a plastic bin and keep the machine and accessories stored in it when not in use. Also, the stickers on the wheels fell off out of the box, but I didn't like them anyway. The McCulloch name is a sub of Vornado Air, which is a sub of Husqvarna, so I was hoping to see "Made in Canada" or "Made in Mexico" (there is no hope of seeing Made in USA, but I wanted to see anywhere but you know where), but alas, like everything else it is made in China.

The BEST investment for anyone who has any kind of cleaning to do.
This was the best investment I have made as an adult and I've been an adult for quite a while. This h the thing does EVERYTHING and easier than if I used cleaner and other items with just tap water and electricity. The tools are Amazing and make it versatile and convenient for any job. It seriously cleans better than anything I’ve ever used and is easy to maneuver and travel with. I love that there’s no streaks or marks after I’m done and everything is sparkles clean and SANITIZED without the nasty chemicals and ridiculous elbow grease. It is very efficient on water compared to other cheaper brands I’ve bought and has outlasted and out produced by FAR! It’s easy for me to handle on my own and vary up and down stairs. As a rental property owner and a home owner with dogs and a daycare worker this thing does it All for us. I would buy this over and over again without thinking twice. I was nervous about the purchase at first but I will never go back and never buy another brand.

Excellent for some tasks, not enough steam for others
I bought the McCulloch MC1375 steam cleaner for car detailing. I had some trouble with it at first, but now I think it's pretty good. I filled up the tank with reverse osmosis filtered water using the provided measuring cup and turned the steam knob all the way clockwise. I waited and I waited and I got almost no steam. I then took a closer look and COUNTER-CLOCKWISE turns it up. OK, that's weird. Turn the knob left and it works. Turn the knob right and it doesn't work. The smaller accessories push on to the tip but don't lock on. If you're too aggressive with it, they pop off. You can burn your hand if you're not careful. Be a little more gentle with the brushes and they'll stay on. I used the big mop attachment to clean the hardwood floors in my kitchen. They give you 2 pads that stick to the mop attachment kind of like velcro. The pad is soft and the mop has plastic spike that grab it. The steam alone isn't enough to clean the floor. I usually throw a little soapy water on the floor first. The steam makes the mop hot right away, so it's pretty great for cleaning. Where it does a great job: Car interior panels. Use the small brush to clean textured plastic, cup holders, steering wheel, shifter. House base boards and any edge or corner that's hard to clean. Any dried, caked on dirt that's water soluble. This steam cleaner does an amazing job! Where it fails: Car seats. Not enough steam output to clean upholstery. Use a spray bottle and shop vac or buy an extractor. Carpets. Haven't tried it, but I'll just say not enough steam. A note about filling it with water: There is no way to see how much water is in this steam cleaner. The only way to get the right amount of water is to turn it upside down, dump the water out, and fill it with the measuring cup. Of course, you can't open it when it's hot. If it runs out of water while you're cleaning, you have to de-pressurize it before opening the cap. Turn the power off, lock the trigger on the wand and wait at least 10 minutes until no more steam comes out. Then open the cap. You can open it sooner than that if you want to live dangerously, but you can get burned by the steam. I rated this steam cleaner 4 stars at first, but I changed it to 5 stars because you get a lot for your money. You just need to manage your expectations and realize it can't do everything.

Love it
My husband and I bought our first house in April of last year, and I'll say this much: the previous owners had 4 sons and 5 dogs. I feel like I can't get this place clean enough. That being said, I have spent the better part of the past 10 months scrubbing, mopping, and just overall "de-yucking" the house. I was perusing Amazon one day and I came across a steamer. It was just a $30 handheld item that acted as a squirt gun, but it intrigued me. After doing a lot more research and really looking into what I would want to be able to do if I had a steam cleaner, the Mr. and I finally decided on the McCulloch. And oh boy, I am so glad we did. The water tank holds a serious amount of water. So serious, in fact, that I don't always have the patience to completely fill it up, so I will sometimes just use it with just a half tank of water. Which is great! If I'm not doing a serious job, it works just as well with 24 ounces of water, and definitely gets the job done. And the attachments...jeez, there are so many of them that I can't even fathom what I will end up doing with all of them. So far I've used the round bristle brushes, the triangular one (with a rectangular add-on, so cool!), and the regular ol' spout that just shoots out steam. Guys. Seriously. The night I got this thing I played with it for 3 hours. Here is what I have cleaned with it: -Refrigerator doors and handles (I didn't feel like emptying out the fridge and doing the inside just yet) -Ice maker on the refrigerator (the amount of grossness that came out of that thing made me want to hurl) -Sink and faucets -Oven door and window -Cupboard doors and grooves on the doors themselves (***proceed with caution if you do this, though!!*** My cupboards are 21 years old and I had years of gunk and buildup, so there wasn't much to lose if my cabinets got damaged) -Window tracks and sills -Toilet (the regular nozzle attachment was AMAZING for it; I just flipped it upside down and did the inside rim of the toilet, and all the gross just started oozing off) -Outside doors to the house (we have 4 doors leading outside) -Dog kennel (You would not believe how clean that thing came, I was amazed that it was actually that DIRTY and I didn't realize it!) -Tile and grout (I was down on the floor scraping the grout with the brush attachment, it looks brand new now) The instructions say to use distilled water to keep the unit from getting hard water/mineral deposits, I just run it through with a cup of vinegar and call it good. The room will smell like salad dressing, but it dries and doesn't stink anymore, and feels like you could eat off of whatever surface you just cleaned. Seriously, the house feels so clean and sanitary now. I'm a bit of a freak in keeping my house clean, and this is the perfect tool to do that. With steam that heats up to 200 degrees, it seriously sanitizes and kills germs. Now that's all the good stuff. Here are my gripes that keep me from giving it 5 stars. -The hose is really long, which is great when you're using it. When you're trying to put it away, however, it's a total pain. There's not a system for properly coiling it around the unit, and so when you carry the unit from room to room it dangles and flops around. Totally impractical. -In the same vein, the cord is 18 feet long and also had no system for nicely coiling it up. There are 2 wimpy little hooks on the top of the tank, but for all the good they do they might as well not be there. I have discovered that it works best by wrapping the cord around the top of the unit, but there is no hook on the plug so you have to kind of tuck it into the coils so that it also doesn't flop around. -This isn't a big deal to me, but I could see it being a problem for the uninitiated: the tank takes about 10 minutes to heat up. Like I said, that doesn't bother me, since I read it on the Amazon product description before buying it, but others might complain. -The included carrying bag is a waste of time. I have all the items stuffed into it for now, since I have no other place to put them, but the bag is full to the brim and the attachments keep falling out of it. And since there are so many different-sized attachments, it's a total pain in the derriere to find the smaller ones that I'm looking for. However, none of those gripes are deal-breakers; I absolutely love this item and I am thrilled that we bought it. Worth every penny, I would recommend this product to anyone. It really cuts through all the grime and built-up nastiness that has obviously been there for a long time. And it makes the whole house feel so fresh and so clean (clean)!

Durable, versatile, easy to operate, cleans everything!
Pros: Long hose, long power cord Heats up within minutes Removes soap scum Removes stains that cleaners could not TONS of accessories!!! Cons: Can’t see how much water is left in the container Need to use distilled water or calcium could build up Quality and Build: Well built, solid, met my expectations in terms of durability Easy to use Performance: This met my expectations as far as the ability to make the steam full strength or soft steam. I haven’t tried it on my floors but this was mainly used to clean my car and shower/tub. I used it at full steam strength and it was very strong and effective to get out soap scum and some stains but not set in mold. Made the shower super clean and ready for caulking. Ease of Use: No problems - it’s easy to fill the water tank with distilled water to prevent calcium build-up, turn it on with a flip of the switch and let it heat up. When the meter arrow on the machine goes anywhere in the green range, you’re good to go. I had water left over after a solid 15-20 mins using it in the shower. I ended up emptying the water left over and was surprised how well it created the steam without using all of the water in the tank. The squeeze level is easy to use and can lock in either position, no steam or constant steam. Features and Functionality: This machine has a ton of attachments for pretty much every thing you could imagine cleaning. Easy to put on and off - when changing the attachments. The hose came already attached to the machine. The netting connects to the back of the machine to put the power cord in. The steamer hose is a bit awkward, but I’m thankful it’s very long. You loosely gather it together and leave it on the top of the machine, there’s a holder for the main part of the steamer that you attach the different heads or wand to. Value for Money: Considering this is a residential model steamer, it’s better then any other that I have tried and I know many auto detailers who use this machine continuously without issues. It also has a longer warranty then most machines and you can purchase an extended warranty. User Experience: Using this machine is easy, it’s lightweight, and I don’t get fatigue on my fingers or joints that other machines had given me in the past. I really like the ease of using this machine. Comparison to Similar Products: The only other working steamer that I have is a floor mop, which I’ve had for years and works fine but this one outshines the floor mop because it can steam clean so much more then just the floor. It’s a great deal to have a versatile machine. Recommendation: I would recommend this to anyone who needs to steam clean their floors, kitchen, bathroom, car. It’s durable and could easily be used by those who have auto detailing businesses as well as housekeeping businesses.

Impressive performance for under $200
I did a lot of research on steamers. Most come from Italy and I've read lots of horror stories about reliability and service. They are also extremely expensive in the $600-$1200+ range. The two low priced units I looked at were anemic but got pretty good reviews as far as reliability and service goes. One is by McCulloch and the the other by Wagner. Both are in the $80-125 range but I wanted something more potent. I got excited when I saw two new models from McCulloch boasting 58psi and less than 15 min. warmup! So I broke down and bought one. The main difference I could see between this model and the next model up is that the more expensive model has a slightly longer run time, a telescoping handle and a few more accessories. It is also an upright design vs. this unit is a canister. I liked the canister with swivel front wheels better as you can drag it behind you as you are using it. I decided this model would suit my needs better. The unit comes completely assembled in the box. It comes with a power handle, two extension pipes and a bunch of accessories, including an assortment of brush and Scotchbrite nozzles, a steam scraper, floor cleaning attachments and a steam mop head with 2 microfiber mop heads and a graduated fill cup. All the attachments fit nicely into the included accessory bag, which also has a side pocket to hold the user manual. I was impressed that the fill port and cap has threaded brass fittings. The fill port is large enough to fill the unit quickly and the plastic fitting around the fill port is funnel shaped so it is easy to fill without making a mess. I flipped the power switch on and the unit heated to 60psi in just under the stated 12 min. It has a pressure control and a pressure gauge on the top front, which is handy for monitoring the steam. The pressure does drop fairly quickly once you start using the steam but it stabilizes at about 30psi. When you release the trigger, the pressure builds quickly back to 60 psi. The first second or two of steam includes a fair amount of water but once you start using it, you don't get a ton of moisture like you do with some cheaper units. The exception was cleaning grout. Because the tiles are cold, the steam quickly condenses to water so you need a towel to keep from having a puddle. This isn't the fault of the steamer. It is just the laws of physics. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this little steamer. It produces way more steam than other units I've tried, although I've never tried the $600+ units. But for under $200, I think this offers the best bang for the buck. My one complaint, and it is extremely minor, is that the yellow racing stripe decals around the wheels were peeling off when I took it out of the box. I pressed them in place but they are lifting up again. I will just pull them off as they really don't add any value anyway. Other than that, the construction looks solid. I'll update this review once I've had it a few months.

it's a 50/50 love/hate relationship
I was torn between 1 star and 4 stars so i am going with 3. The unit is nice, it produces steam quickly, consistently and effeciently. The accssories are garbage. I'll do this in bullet form: Pros: Fast, consistent steam, and quite a bit hotter than less expensive units Cleans most of what you'd expect, but you have to be realistic...if heat and water alone won't clean something, this won't either. It did knock out some serious shower stall gunk that usually takes a lot of elbow grease and chemicals to power through. So for 'natural' cleaning, it will do the job. Comes with abundant accessories for most jobs (read related con below) Availability of accessories is a positive (however, if they were quality, they wouldn't need to be replaced so quickly) Easy to use and setup, you'll be using it within 20 minutes of it arriving, that includes reading the instructions (your mileage may vary) Long steam hose Long power cord Easy to move around because of the large wheels and because it's not heavy or bulky Easy to fill Decent instruction booklet Cons Accessories are junk. i used the scrub pad one time and it is completely destroyed...using no pressure other than the weight of the wand and pad. Cheap plastic on accessories heats up and loosens, falling off of the wand- The attachments will loosen up after using them for a while because the cheap plastic from which they are made expands with heat and will not stay on the nozzle. No low water warning (just means you have to pay attention to the pressure and quality of the steam, but it would be a nice feature) Final thoughts I went half in on this machine with a co-worker for cleaning our cars. if I had paid full price, i would have probably returned it. For what I paid, I will get use out of it, even if I have to modify the accessories or replace them altogether. As a producer of abundant and high temperature steam, it's fine. Accessories bring this unit down. More attention to the accessories would make this unit more worthy of higher ratings. Cheaper alternatives have locking accessories which make more sense. Time will tell if it holds up. I will follow the manufacturers directions and i will update this review if/when the unit fails or needs replacement. I recommend everyone to use youtube and watch average people use this machine, NOT sellers or professionals as they can often provide a biased overview.

No more elbow grease!!! YEAH!!!!
I really like this steamer!. A few years ago I purchased a small" shark" steamer, not bottom of the line but the next one up. It worked great for a while then about 4 months into using it, the main nozzle brush started to disintegrate. Then the joints started to present problems, the floor steaming mechanism broke, and the hose started to wear down. I threw it out after about 6 months- But I used it a lot (small project about once a week). I tell you about the shark because I want to compare the two. I paid about 30.00 more for the McCulloch. I took it out of the box two days ago, and Cleaned the kitchen floor with it, then the front of the 'Frig' the front of the dishwasher, the front on the stove, the faucets and all around the sink. I was impressed with: 1. The instructions are in English and quite thorough. 2. It comes with a special cup for measuring the amount of water you put into the machine. Suggests you use Distilled, or de-mineralized water. 3. All the connections seem very very stable and able to withstand a lot of the heat involved when the steamer is working. I love the way the floor attachment works (it is on a ball joint). and the floor cleaning pads are very nice- they are heavy and absorbent and will be able to withstand a lot of washes in the machine and dryer. My kitchen floor was so very clean, that it felt like a new floor. The floor is tile and the heavy cleaning pad got between the tiles, into the grouted lines and cleaned it all!! 4. There are several attachments for when you need just a bit of scrub for those very tough sticky or heavy projects: two with a very thick "scrubby" type surface, three regular nozzles with a lighter brush (these things melted in my "other" machine rather quickly-- within about 2 weeks) these are stronger and made with heavier materials. -- there are more attachments that I haven't used yet... Next week it is off to the bathroom with this wonderful machine-- Steaming does leave things a bit damp so you will want to use a clean dry rag to wipe up the gunk that steams away--except for the floor pads which take care of most of it. The floors and other surfaces are "squeeky clean" and the water dries pretty fast. We all have a lot of allergies in our household and I feel that steam cleaning makes surfaces feel very clean and germ free. The steam can shoot the gunk out from tight surfaces- such as around the faucet and the edge of the sink where even an old toothbrush makes it a chore, AND then there are parts of the stove... , I wish I had had one of these machines when my kids were crawling... I spent so much time on my hands and knees trying to keep the floors clean enough for them to crawl around on. This would have saved me lot time that I could have spent with them, or taking a nap!!!

Great unit
I've been using this for a few months now with zero issues. It replaced a smaller unit from a different brand that performed pretty well for a couple years then died. This is a HUGE improvement. The cord is longer so I can reach more places, the tank is much bigger so I can complete my cleaning on one fill. It has a variable steam setting which has been very useful. And the heated rubber tubing smells a lot less. It's just a better made, sturdier, more versatile unit in what is still a fairly compact package. I'm very happy with my purchase!

A great and versatile tool
I first heard of this item from watching the Detail Geek YouTube channel. I absolutely love it. My first big test was cleaning my parents’ 11 year old Toyota Venza with 260,000 km of use and a bone/light grey colour interior. It cleaned absolutely everything off and left all the surfaces it touched looking brand new. I’ve not tried the floor mop part yet, as we do have a steam mop already, but I highly recommend it for all the other uses. *Photo shows how clean all the plastics for the threshold and around the feet cleaned up using this tool after applying a small amount of cleaner.

There doesn't seem to be 20 accessories
I'm not sure what they are calling accessories but if it's attachments there are not 20. Also the booklet that comes with it doesn't tell you how to use all the attachments. Like what are they supposed to be used on? As a first time user of a steam cleaner I have no idea! Other than that it's great!
