Fast delivery on the part, not an easy install.
For me, this was not an easy install. I had to drill out multiple rivets. The replacement part had rivets, I chose to go to the Hardware store and get nuts and bolts to put it back together. You Tube Videos are good to help you work through some hard to get to components. After the install, window was sluggish up and down. I cleaned the window tracks and that seemed to help incrementally. This was my second replacement on the window regulator.

worked perfect for my '11 crown vic
Worked perfect for my '11 Crown Vic. Relatively easy install, You will have to drill out the stock aluminum rivets. not difficult, but the ones in the glass are kind of sketchy... I STRONGLY recommend watching the YouTube vid BEFORE you start. It did come with some hardware, (rivets) but i used my own SS pan-head alen screws with nylock nuts

Well worth the money.
Just installed it last night .Works well goes up and down pretty fast my old one was wasted it made a loud noise one night sounded like a gun shot went off in my door I rolled it down and never came back up.Anyway the hardest thing was drilling the pop rivets out take your time on the glass ones.Used the punch knock the center post down then 3/8 drill bit knock the remaining piece out with smaller punch. You will need 9 1/4 20 bolts 3/4 inch long and 2 1/4 20 1 inch long for glass. One by the motor tab sticking through door I turned the bolt around and put the nut on the front because not that much clearance. Also use nylock nuts they won’t vibrate loose. Takes about 1 and half hours to complete Did take the glass out and put it back in I figure it gave me more room to get the old one out.YouTube video by a1 auto was helpful.

Nuts and Bolts are the way to go
I've replaced 7 or 8 regulators in different cars over the years, 3 in a Mercury with the dreaded rivets. It's like Ford / Mercury hates its customers. Twice the Dorman Mercury replacement came with nuts and bolts. This latest time it came with rivets (and not enough I might add). So as others have commented head over to the hardware store and buy bolts and nuts. I know Dorman quality is hit or miss but so far I have not had a replacement fail and they are way less expensive than OEM.

online reviews super helpful
Product is excellent. I read through several reviews and picked up a lot of tips & tricks - summary below...1) Ford uses rivets - not screws. using small hammer and punch - knock out center of rivets and drill out the rest (slowly) with a 3/8" in bit. if the rivet starts to spin, get small flat head screwdriver to dig into the aluminum to stop spinning2) be extremely patient when knocking out the rivets on the window glass...it took lots of small taps to get them out.3) lots of youtube videos on the mercury grand marquis / crown victoria - follow those4) several reviewer said to you nylon / nyloc nuts and bolts. yup i did same thing 1/4 - 20 and got several 1/2" and two 1" for the window. i put a washer as well.5) with regard to the window bolts - do not over tighten. get in snug and no extra after that - one poster mentioned he overtightened and broke the glass6) a little lubricant on the internal window guides is helpful while you've got the door apartgood luck!

Improved design direct replacement (motor not serviceable)
Part is direct replacement. Excellent Quality...revised design from OEM.Some important notes:1. Mine did not come with hardware. I used the Dorman 702-013 Regulator Hardware Kit (rivets)2. The complete assembly has the motor permanently attached and the 3 motor bolt holes will not line up with the holes in the door. In other words after you rivet in the motor mount you can not remove just the motor. The motor bolts will also no longer line up with access holes. Don't freak out.3. The instructions indicate 1/8" drill bit and 3/8" drill bit but I had to use 1/4" or larger to remove the rivets.4. Placing painters tape around the rivets when removing will help avoid scratching the paint.5. Removing the water proofing was a pain as it was attached with adhesive. New weatherstripping adhesive should be used to reattach it.6. My door had a metal bar riveted over the access hole which needed to be removed and reattached with rivets. This was not in the instructions.7. Overall the instructions were a good starting point but we're not very accurate. You will need a long reach rivet gun for one of the window rivet points. My door had a square hole about 1"x1" to insert the rivet gun through for that rivet point. It was very tight. It took about 1.5 hrs start to finish. This part is slightly different from the OE as the design is improved. The hardest part was removing the old rivets.Works great. Dorman has detailed instructions on its website.
