Install the Driver First!!!!!
This does NOT work out of the box. Please read the instructions to install the driver. Then it will work. I was about to return the item until I saw the instructions on the product page. After installing the driver, the item worked as intended and was an easy setup.

Not compatible with Google Chromebooks
This product specifically stated that it is compatible with Google Chromebooks. This product is not compatible with Google Chromebooks. I tried and my partners tried to download the software needed to get the product running and the only two options that we could download were for windows or mac and neither worked for a Google Chromebook.

great usb to hdmi adapter
I have an old HP laptop with a small screen and a slightly low display quality, so I need another monitor to help me better complete my work. I found this HDMI adapter and it worked like an advertisement after installing the driver without any complaints.(window 10 pro) It puts the image on this 27-inch display, which is very clear and makes my work more relaxed and enjoyable. I like it.

Works Great, but gets fairly hot after a few hours of use.
Product worked perfectly for adding another display on my desktop PC, but make sure you are inputting the USB into another 3.0 port or else you won't be able to get the full 1080 resolution.

Burned out after 2 hours
Sadly this adapter burned out the first time we used it. We were connecting a projector to a laptop with an HDMI cable. Watched a movie and about 2 hours into it, the adapter got hot and stopped working. We let it cool, but it still wouldn't work. Maybe it would work on a short presentation or something, but wouldn't recommend it for watching movies on a projector.
