Q: hi, I have tried to set up a slimline dish with hd and its impossible to find the satellites. With this dish being SD is it a very simple task?

I don't know that I'd call it "simple," but from what I've experienced has to be far less frustrating than an HD slimline. I find that keeping a cool head and using the compass and especially the "beeper" helps tremendously. It also helps having someone to watch the TV signal strength for you while you fine tune the dish. It takes me (us) about 10 to 15 minutes to complete the job - far less if you've done it a time or two.

Q: Will this work with a HD receiver?

Yes, absolutely, but it will not stream in HD because the dish is NOT an HD dish. This means you can use your HD receiver with it and you will get all your programing but it will stream STANDARD. We use our home HD receiver with ours and get all our programing wherever we go after setting it up. It takes me about 15 minutes to do all the set up. Good Luck.

Q: is dish a slimline or multi purpose

In this set it is a multisat 3 lnb intended for digital programming only. The phase 3 dish does not pick up HD satellites.

Q: Will model h25-100 work with this package

Sorry, don't know. You will have to call DirecTv.
