Review: Ahhhh! Much better than Dura Brite inks!! - I've been a professional photographer for many MANY moons! Up until about 5 months ago, I used an Epson Workforce 600 printer as my everyday printer... for documents, and everyday photo printing. For documents, it was an excellent printer. It was also "good" for printing photos. However for my important gallery photos, I use my Epson Stylus Pro 3880... a professional photo printer. The problem with the Workforce 600 is that it used Durabrite ink, which is a pigment based ink. In the past, all pigment based ink had a problem with glossy paper called metamerism. That's a property where the ink sits on TOP of the paper surface. The results were that when viewed under different lighting conditions the color appears to shift a little bit, and even caused "bronzing", especially in the blacks when viewed under spectral lighting. This effect was most noticable in black and white prints. Also, when viewed at certain angles the images would appear less glossy and uneven when going from lighter colors, or clear, to dark colors... almost like a negative image! My latest SMALL printer is the Epson Artisan 810 printer, which uses Claria ink... a dye based ink. No more bronzing or metamerism! The glossy prints have an even gloss and truly look like regular photo prints from your local pro camera store!... some small drug store labs still give you prints with uneven gloss... or semi-gloss. Also, Claria ink adds two more colors, Light Magenta and Light Cyan which means that you get a potentially wider color gamut (depending on your color settings) than you do with the old Durabrite 4-color ink system. The problems with pigment based inks have been pretty much eliminated, due to micro encapsulation of the ink droplets in the best pigment based inks. The encapsulation surrounds each droplet with a polymer, which almost completely eliminates their previous problems. I am extremely happy with this color pack not just because it saves money over buying the cartridges individually, but also because it uses Claria ink! Review: The genuine merchandise for worry-free performance - With desertcart.com Prime shipping, could not find a better price anywhere. These cartridges last a long time and since they are genuine, you know they will work well with your Epson printer. No problems with print quality and quantity. Our Artisan 837 printer displays the amount of ink left in each individual cartridge and the printer won't print if a cartridge runs out of ink; a nice and welcomed feature for me. For me, I think the printer manufacturers make a significant portion of their profit off of selling their ink cartridges for their printers, as these printers are relatively inexpensive for what they provide. Epson printers have always worked well for me and they also can print on CDs/DVDs.

INK IS EXPENSIVE BUT BRAND NAME IS BEST
I think anyone who owns a color printer realizes that the manufacturers make their money on ink and not the hardware. The problem is that replacing multiple color cartridges gets very expensive. That is one reason I purchase what Epson calls their high capacity ink. It is supposed to last longer than regular ink. No matter what you do, you can't get away from them. You want to print or print in color, they are a must. No ink, no printing. Don't make the mistake I did. I was so upset with the cost of Epson ink, I purchased ink not made by Epson. Well to my dismay, the print heads clogged and the ink leaked into the printer. I had to waste all the ink to put the printer in head cleaning mode which uses a lot of ink. After the printer was cleaned and unclogged, I purchased this Epson ink and I had no problems. What my final determination is, try another brand name f cartridges to see if it works for you. I learned my lesson and take no more chances and ordered this Epson ink.

Epson High-Yield Ink
Well, we all get sick when we have to buy replacement ink cartridges for our printers. Having been in the computer field for decades, I can say that this is entirely due to public opinion surveys. Early on, people said: "$400 is WAY too expensive for a printer!" and poof! We got our wish. They dropped the price of the printers and raised the price of the ink astronomically, so that after a year or two you're actually paying MORE than you would have with the expensive printer / cheap ink combination, but I digress. I know that many people swear by aftermarket ink, but I have to say that I have had several Epson printers develop unfixable clogs in the print head (which basically means throw away the printer) when I used several different brands of aftermarket ink. I have never had an unfixable clog using Epson ink, so take that for what it's worth. When you are comparing prices on Epson ink, make sure that you are comparing 98 cartridges to 98 cartridges. A lot of these Multi-Packs have a 98 Black cartridge, but all the rest are the low-yield 99 cartridges. Happy printing!

Only the Real Deal
I learned my lesson last time when I tried to save bucks and buy from one of the inks from a 'discount' replaceable ink website. Suffice to say that my printer never worked properly after the inks were installed. I only buy the authentic Epson ink and haven't had a problem since. Costs more, but save yourself from the headaches!

Epson Claria T098920 has Extra High Capacity cartridges!
Epson Claria T098920 works so well with my Epson Artisan 730 Printer! The cartridges arrived quickly, so there was little down time from printing. I keep an entire supply of the color cartridges (5 in this box) and replace them one by one as needed. The black cartridge always seems to run out first, so I usually get that separately way before the color cartridges begin to run out. These are Extra High Capacity cartridges, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I've bought them several times over the past few years from Amazon. That's the best way to go!!

COUNTERFEIT โ DONโT PURCHASE
My Epson Artisan 810 quit working. I kept getting an error message stating that the light cyan could not be recognized. I figured it was just a bad cartridge. I got out another light cyan from my spare set (both sets ordered through Amazon) and got the same error message. Trouble shooting was extensive with Epson techs not being able to pinpoint the problem. I did not want to buy a new printer and after days researching new printer options I had a thought that perhaps the ink cartridges were counterfeit. On a long shot I ordered one new cyan cartridge direct from Epson. I put it in the printer and it worked immediately! I have a total of ten counterfeit cartridges amounting to $128 and countless frustrating hours figuring this out. Iโve provided two photos showing the printed circuit boards. The one with โEpsonโ imprinted on the circuit is sold by Epson. The counterfeit cartridges DOES NOT have Epson imprinted on the circuit board. My order dated December 2015 shows they were sold by โBlue Foxxโ. I noticed that when I clink on the order search link it now shows these are sold by Epson. I hope this saves you from the frustration I experienced. Amazon needs to be aware that these are counterfeit being sold as name brand Epson. Seems someone is breaking the law in passing these off as new Epson cartridges!

Highly satisfied with this Epson Multi-Pack Color Ink purchase
What can I say. It's the high capacity color ink pack (98 series) and the price is much less that you can find at local retail chains if you can even find the 98 series inks in color. I have noticed that most local retailers only have the black ink in the 98 series, the color inks are usually the 99 series. I have had absolutely no problem with this product purchased thru Amazon. This is my second order and I will continue to purchase my Epson Ink in this manner.

Professional pictures result with Epson printers, inks and photographic papers
Epson products give me professional quality pictures. The pix come out dry, with a plastic coating making it waterproof. Mistake of mine: Amazone price is higher than buying direct from Epson.
