Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner Dynamite Plus Corded Bagless Upright Vacuum with Tools M084650 RED

I was looking for a small, powerful and inexpensive vacuum cleaner, and this is EXACTLY what I got with Dirt Devil Dynamite. I was looking to replace my old stick-type vacuum cleaner which was okay for hardwood, but just too weak to pick up anything from carpet.I already have a fairly large carpet steamer which I regularly use. I didn't want another clunky machine to take up very expensive square footage in my house. I also paid quite a bit for that steamer, so I didn't want to shell out for a vacuum as well. However, I did want a vacuum cleaner with some power to it.1) SMALL: The first thing that caught be by surprise is how remarkably small this vacuum cleaner is. I think the lady in the picture is rather short because the canister part hardly even reaches my kneecaps! Size-wise it almost looks like a child's toy!2) ASSEMBLY: There's virtually no assembly required. Just snap in the handle and it's good to go.3) POWERFUL: It picked up incredible amounts of dust, dust bunnies, crumbs and hair on my carpets which were freshly steam-cleaned just days earlier!4) SIMPLE: There's one on/off button, a snap button to detach canister to empty it. Sturdy paper filter. It has a stretch hose. To lock it straight up, just lean it forward. Lean backwards to unlock. Handle is retractable if you want to store it, or if you want your kids to exercise their vacuuming muscles!5) STORAGE: This cleaner just slides under the bed for storage. And I mentioned how important my storage issue is!6) PRICE: I would expect this performance from a $120 machine, but for $54 this is such a steal.7) DOWNSIDE: This cleaner is not self-propelled. You have to apply some force to push it forward. Not a deterrent for me, but might be an issue for some customers. If you have mobility problems or more significant physical limitations, you might want to consider a self-propelled vacuum over this one. More expensive cleaners will have rotating wheels which makes the cleaner slide over carpet easily.There. I hope this was useful. Happy cleaning!

i have currently a dirt devil vision which i have had for many years, bag-less canister type, its been great vacuum cleaner even though the handle lock is broken, and my wife ran over the chord and i had to repair it...[so i like dirt devils]. i purchased the dirt devil dynamite plus BECAUSE , i got it for very little money because of some points on my credit card and a coupon amazon gave me.i have had it only a few days, and i can say i do LIKE THIS VACUUM, although its small, i do not recommend using it in a living space with several animals because i would require constant cleaning of hair filling up in it, and would not be practical, it does pickup dust/ dirt very well. after setting it up, plugging it in, an just turning it on, with it standing still, i could see dirt being lifted out of my large rug, as it swirled around the canister........ it has powerful suction.HOWEVER this is the point i wish to make CLEAR, its small and has a small filter inside the canister, and cleaning this vacuum will get you a little dirty, as i said it does pickup a lot of dusk/ dirt, and it does clog the filter in doing just 1 room because of its size. the canister must be cleaned often, i suggest between rooms , and i recommend using some low compressed air and blowing the dusk/ dirt off from the filter which is easily removed by a simple turn of it.If you do not clean the clean the filter regularly............ but instead just dump the dusk/dirt, the vacuum will lose suction as the filter clogs. these filters can last a very long time if you keep them clean, ......by just using compressed air blowing them clean.i have NEVER changed the air filter in my dirt devil vision in the many years on have owned it, and i am sure i will not have to change this one either, YOU just take care of it and clean it regularly.For its size, this is not a vacuum you can use on a house, put it away, then pull it back out use it again and again, and think about cleaning it....one day in the future.....it needs to be cleaned people, and if you do that its going to get the dust and dirt OUT!, and last.ONE THING... most people do not do is.... take care of their OWN property by maintaining it. they use it, throw it in a closet and expect it to run forever....it will last for years if you clean it and treat it right.
