Great looking bumper, cheap, and everything fit even with bed-liner!
Ok so I bought this bumper because I figured it was a cheap bumper and I'm not the type of guy to spend a lot of money on exterior upgrades other than the drivetrain and suspension. It's 5/32 inch thick steel all around with a very light powder coat. When it came in the mail one of the corners was scratched up and the bare steel was exposed, also along the bottom there was a large scratch exposing the bare steel from the powder coating. However I knew that this was going to be the case as in the previous reviews everyone said the shipping was not very well done. But hey you're paying 250 bucks for a bump or so I'll let it slide. So after examining the bumper I realized that it was in no condition to be put on my jeep so I decided to bed-line/rhino-line it. I figured this was a good idea because it will make it a little bit more thick and also had a very durable coat on it. After paying $150 for the rhino line the total cost of the bumper in the end was around $400, which I still consider a steal. However once rhino lining it, I noticed that getting the bolts through the holes that have been rhino lined, The lining was a bit thick which made it kind of hard to get the screws through but they would eventually get through with a little bit of elbow grease. Same goes for the OEM fog lights however you may have to cut a little bit of the rhino lining off in order for it to get it past. Even after cutting my bare steel was still not exposed and there was just rhino liner underneath it. A razor blade works great, also wanted to know that all of the holes lined up perfectly. After install I think about bumper looks great can't wait to get a winch and throw it on there ( I recommend getting another steel plate to put underneath the winch mount plate as a reinforcement). If you're buying this bumper you should know that you're buying a half completed bumper per se.

Extremely Durable
I out this bumper on my 2012 Rubicon and I have NOTHING but good things to say about it.Fit and finish is good... Didnt check too closely cause my vehicle is far from a show queen but no obvious missing paint, misaligned parts, bad welds or anything like that.Installed was good. Absolutely nothing unexpected. Took about half a 6 pack to install alone going at a leisurely pace.Performance is where this thing really shines. I beat on my Jeep like it owes me money (at this point it does) and this bumper has not let me down. This bumper has pulled my Wife's Ford Raptor (NOT a light vehicle) off a hillside when it was solidly hung on top of a stump by the frame (pulling overheated a 9500lb winch with a snatch block almost instantly and yanking from the shackles with straps broke 15,000 straps repeatedly over about a 6 hour extraction). It also survived a complete run down trail 21 at Windrock offroad park in Tennessee. This trail is the hardest at the 72,000 acre park and is typically run only by buggies on 37in or larger tires... I ran it over in about 4 hours with a nearly stock Rubicon... The bumper survived repeated full throttle, bone jarring launches into boulders and rock ledges as I attempted to smash my way through the nightmarish 2nd half of the trail. By the time I reached the other end my steering linkages were all but destroyed, the body had multiple dents 4in or more deep and the engine had overheated 4 times... The bumper was still in perfect condition minus a little paint here and there. Very solid product... Would absolutely recommend.

Great little bumper for the price!!
I ordered this for my wife’s 2017 JK Sahara (Chief edition). She’s not an extreme off-reader, but we live in the interior of Alaska and have a lot of unmaintained trails to explore. She wanted the stubby bumper to make room for 35’s with a little articulation. We’ll need fenders, rear bumper, and bump stop extensions with no lift. Maybe a little cutting too, we’ll see. This is a pretty straight forward stubby bumper. Great for the price!! Easy to install, it took me a little over 2 hours. I wasn’t in a hurry and took the time to clean up everything that was exposed with the old bumper off before installing the new one.The fog lights mounted right up!! I didn’t need the adapters that come with it. The wiring hung freely after the install, so I used a few zip ties. That’s probably my only “complaint”.The shackle loops are solid and are right where the bumper bolts into the frame. I like that they’re welded and not bolt on. Same with the light bar bar.The winch mount seems stout enough. We won’t be adding a winch for a few months, so I’ll have to update this review once we have the winch installed. There is no license plate bracket. That’s not a horrible thing. I drilled holes in the license plate and mounted it to the fairlead mounting holes. Works for what we need it for. We’ll eventually get the fairlead license plate bracket when we install a winch.
