It has worked like a charm and I can't stop raving about it ...
This is one clever and versatile device. It has worked like a charm and I can't stop raving about it to my friends. The activation beep is a bit load, so you'll want to use it when you really need it. One time I had to use my iPhone as a personal hotspot but needed to set it on a sill near a window (but just out of sight). Someone could easily walk away with my phone and I'd never now (until Wi-Fi stopped). But NOT to be! I set the light case on top of the phone and armed it. Didn't worry for a second as I trained my eyes on my laptop. If someone tried to take my I phone, they'd have to first lift the little box up first. That would be a loud mistake. Peace of mind - worth every penny.

Motorcycle Motorbike awesome while it works . . . MALFUNCTION
Vendor: Sold by O'PlazaOrdered 5/282014, arrived 6/5/2014. Packaged well, arrived with no damage along with some other items. Does not include 9V battery. In service 6/5/2014; out of service 9/2014Application: Commuter BicyclePurchased this for my bicycle as a backup to my other alarm (110 db Bicycle Bike Security Alarm Audible Sound Lock). It lives in the rear trunk, side pouch. the volume is better there than in the main insulated/cushioned pouch. It is highly sensitive - if the trunk is disturbed, even by trying to unzip it, let alone steal it, the alarm goes off.If you do not have a trunk, placement of the alarm might be an issue. although it is relatively small and inconspicuous, there are no attachments except for the internal magnet. as such, there was no place on my bicycle that i could secure it except in the trunk. Iʻm sure this is not an issue on mopeds/motor scooters.Battery life can be as low as two or three 4-6 hour armed status sessions; i have turned off the alarm when not in use (accidentally armed it when the remote was in my purse.)UPDATE:Vendor: zjchao123Ordered replacement 12/8/2014, arrived 12/20/2014 (pretty good, from China during holiday season. In service 12/20/2014. Out of Service 12/20/2014 - MALFUNCTIONalarm petered out after a few months, creaking out a nearly inaudible "alarm". i decided to reorder, this time from a different vendor, andAlarm #2 died after the first alarm trigger - and it got incredibly hot. i threw it away, as it just seemed like a fire hazard. currently and working a claim with the vendor

The hassle I went through is so not worth it.
Item didn't work when I received it. It was very frustrating since I initially didn't know what was wrong. The alarm box beeped once after switching it on but the alarm didn't work when I pressed the remote. The "instructions" that came with the item was poorly written and ,misspelled that one might suspect that it could be in a different language - the Microsoft Word's Paperclip was about to appear in front of me but I gave up reading the "instructions". The item was also not worth returning due to the shipping cost.I had to open the remote, and found out that there's an LED light that's supposed to light when the lock button is pressed - it didn't light. Yes, the "manual" or "instructions" didn't indicate the light or it might have been terribly misspelled that I missed it. The tiny screws that locked the remote got loose as soon as I tried to unscrew them.Turns out that the remote's battery (12V 23A) was already drained when I checked it on a voltmeter. I have to find a store that sells those kinds of battery and I have to spend $4.21 for a pair (they come in pairs). When I used the new batteries, it finally worked. The packaging was only a bubble-wrap envelope, so I suspected that the battery got drained along the way since the remote buttons can be pressed while delivering the package. That is, if the seller had tested it before shipping.I didn't expect this to be a top-grade device but receiving the item as not functional??? *face palm*

excellent for the price
I wanted an alarm of some type for my 125cc motorcycle.......didn't want to spend a fortune and its a vintage bike so I didnt want anything that involved wiring, read the reviews on this and they were all so positive I figured it was worth a try and it more than exceeded my expectations. It will even fit inside the side covers if I wanted but I have it attached to the back of the seat with velcro strips and really it looks like its part of the bike. The alarm is really loud and it goes off only if the bike is actually tipped or moved so I know if it goes off someone has had to do more than just touch it or brush alongside it, it is being moved. I am more than pleased with the purchase and a couple of my friends now want to order one too.

IT EATS BATTERY POWER LIKE A JEEP ON PREMIUM GASSOLINE
At first it worked just fine, the alarm is very loud and is triggered by any movement to the bike. I had bought it for my scooter because people tend to mess with it a lot. I thought the loud alarm would scare them away...however shortly after purchasing the item it started to malfunction and trigger even though the bike had not moved. The problem only started there, the keychain alarm stopped working. I had the batteries replaced on both items, it worked on and off. Now (the reason i'm writing this review 10 months later) the product doesn't work at all, it doesn't matter how many times i replace the battery. I don't know what went ultimately wrong with it, i have never dropped it nor has it gotten wet. It's just like new. When I last turned on the product, smoke started to emerge from it, the odor was awful, luckily it didn't explode on me or a lawsuit would ensue. Such a waste and disappointment.

Very good for the money.
Good cheap alarm. It does chew through batteries though so i would invest in a rechargeable or get a high quality battery. The cheap dollar store stuff just won't cut it in this device. I use this alarm with my 50cc scooter and it works well. Put in in your glove box or under the seat and its plenty loud enough to get your attention. If you are in a store then maybe not put great product to deter thieves nonetheless. If you can afford something better than go for it but if you want something cheap that you don't have to wire up to your bike then i really don't see how you can do better than this.
