Works perfectly with Surface Pro 3 + docking station and two HDMI monitors
EDIT: I bought & installed this in Feb 2018. It is now Mar 2020, and it still works perfectly. I just started working from home and bought a second one for my work laptop. It works great too. This MST hub works perfectly with my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet and Microsoft 3Q9-00001 docking station. It works equally well when plugged into the built-in mini Display Port on the Surface tablet, or when plugged into the mini Display Port on the docking station. I am using it with two monitors that have HDMI inputs. I bought cables that go from DisplayPort to HDMI. Here's the link for the DisplayPort-to-HDMI cables (copy it and paste it into your browser's address bar): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EY67S6O The whole setup works perfectly. It took me less than 5 minutes to setup. Via the Windows 10 "Projector" menu (press-hold the "Windows" key on the keyboard, and tap the "P" key to access this menu), I can choose to mirror or extend the display. "Mirror" displays the same image on all three displays (built-in surface display plus two external monitors). "Extend" allows me to display different windows on each of the three displays. The docking station also has 5 USB ports, allowing me to plug-in a full-size desktop keyboard and mouse. The combination of this MST hub, plus the docking station, makes my Surface Pro 3 a true "desktop" PC!!!

perfect for an extended desktop across dual monitors
I've been using this for a week, and it works beautifully. Because of the coronavirus pandemic everyone in my office was ordered to work from home. My home setup is an Asus ROG 752 gaming laptop with a wireless keyboard and mouse and connected to two 24 inch monitors via this MST hub. In extended desktop mode, the laptop screen is mirrored on one monitor, and the desktop is extended across the second monitor. The only setup that was required after connecting the MST hub was to specify the scale, layout, and resolution in the Win 10 Display Settings. The GeForce 980M video card has 4GB of RAM and displays a resolution of 1980x1200 on each monitor. I wish I had 8GB of video RAM to get a higher resolution. The MST hub works perfectly. There is no flicker or delay. I can attend a Zoom meeting on one monitor and remote login to my office on the other monitor. When the meeting ends, I stretch the remote login window across both monitors.

Device initially worked, failed within the first month
Bought this less than a month ago. Used this with my Lenovo T450s laptop and two external 4k displays.. Initial setup was difficult, but I'll attribute this to the Intel HD 5500 chipset in the laptop. In short, when running three displays ( internal, 4k, 4k ) the internal display had to be configured as something other than the first monitor in the "Intel HD Graphics Control Panel" . Once over that hurdle, the adapter worked... for a brief period. Less than a month after purchase and maybe 20 hours of use the device failed. No longer does my laptop see any of the external monitors. Returned for refund. Trying a more expensive adapter that doesn't have a USB power requirement.

Unable to use it. External screen (Display Port input ...
Unable to use it. External screen (Display Port input, no adaptor) flickers rapidly and is unusable. And that is before trying the second screen. Connecting directly to Surface 3 or to the Surface docking station. External USB power made no difference. Surface hardware logs and device manager show no errors. Surface fully updated Have now got this working. Very simple when I found the issue. Turned out I had to set the monitor refresh rate, in this case to 60 Hz. This was after testing my second monitor...which worked on any resolution mode of 75 Hz, which led me to monitor refresh, working perfectly now with 2 external monitors. Be aware you may have to push the "scan" button on the Accell to reconnect your monitors if your Surface has been powered down in the dock.

Does the Job
Set up was very easy, My 2018 Volvo XC 60 only had carplay capability when phone was plugged in. This allows for me to not have to plug it in to have the same capability without that extra step. I do however, have to go into a menu to connect from time to time. This step is easy once I remember that I need to do it. It isn't all of the time, so it isn't a habit I have developed as of yet. I just got it and used it for less than a week, but overall pleased.

This is a great little hub
This is a great little hub, works exactly as described and I have had no problems with it when used in a fairly complicated setup with active converters outputting to one HDMI and one VGA monitor. It does appear to require a USB port to itself for power (not an unpowered hub), but that's understandable. I much prefer a device like this for getting multiple external displays, compared to USB displaylink devices eating CPU cycles with their compression and not being compatible with f.lux.

Great MST adapter for the money
Brought to run Nvidia Surround on a laptop. Using this adapter and laptop native HDMI to run three monitors for sim setup. It does require active adapters if you need dvi or vga for monitors. Has been working great. Would recommend if you need a MST adapter.

It works with SP4, and some monitors
I purchased it for my Surface Pro 4. It works, but only with some monitors. At first I tried 2 Dell monitors, P2412H and P2411H, and both of them do not work. Both monitors says something like "unsupported input timing, set the mode to 1920x1080@60Hz", but I've already set them in this way. As the last try before returning the item, I tried it on another Dell monitor, and it works! It turns out to be a G2410. I'm not sure what makes the difference, but I found 2 G2410s and both of them works. It seems like that both of them are recognized as "Generic PnP Monitor", and the P241x are recognized correctly.

it works nice
I am not much of tech person, and was worried a bit, but it was as easy as plug & play. both monitors and lap top screen are working the only issue (which goes back to my tech knowledge) is that it needs a strange connector, I thought it is HDMI by looking at the picture, so I ended up baying two convectors, yes it is annoying.

Easy to install. After a couple days the device is failing.
The device appears to be of good quality. We're waiting for cables to connect it properly. After a couple days, 1 of the monitors quit working, it went into Power Saving Mode. I exchanged the cables and it didn't help. Troubleshooting points to the Accell device. Please advise.

Works Great @ 144Hz w/ 2x 1920x1080 Monitors
Was really worried seeing this adapter was only rated for 30Hz and 60Hz respectively but was willing to settle. It's a pricey device, but as of now it works flawlessly with my two 144Hz monitors!
