STM Bags "Velocity Blazer" Sleeve for 13-Inch - Black

Kindly given to me to review this is the first laptop sleeve I've come across.Rather than being a larger, bulky, laptop bag this is designed to be a lightweight laptop holder than can double up as a laptop bag if required.It's made from nice quality material and has 3 pockets. The main pocket is for your laptop, I have a 13" laptop and it fit perfectly.There is a second pocket with a zip that can be used for things like iPads or Kindles. You could use it for cables and potentially a laptop charger depending on how bulky your charger is, this is really designed for flat items to keep the profile nice and slim.The final pocket is an open pocket and can be used for things like notebooks.The included carry strap is thin and doesn't have any padding, but this shouldn't be a problem unless your laptop is very heavy. This strap can be easily removed.Aside from the strap there isn't a handle, so if you're not using the strap you'll have to hold on to this like an A4 pad. I can see the benefit of a slimmer, tidier, product without a handle but I'd have preferred one as it gives another option on how you use this.The advantage of this being very slim is that it can easily fit into another bag or suitcase, giving you some additional storage and giving your laptop some extra protection.

Good bag for MacBook air

Great design and materials. I was looking for a sleeve that accommodate a 2017" 13" MBP with an extra compartment to hold some dongles and accessories. STM came to my mind because of past purchase of STM sleeves for laptops and iPads.The strength of this bag is it has ample foam including the area surrounding the zipper. They call it 360 degree protection. And it has two extra compartments and a strap in case you need that on some occasion.The zipped compartment just has good size and it almost the width of the bag. It is wide and deep enough to hold a few small items.One thing to note is for a Late 2016 or 2017 13" MBP, it is a bit too big.And one thing that is absent in this bag but was available in older generation of STM blazer is a grip handle. It was handy especially you have to take the bag out of your carry-on luggage for security screen in airports.

This is a well-designed, sleek, very lightweight bag. I purchased the 11" model for use with a MacBook Air. The bag I received was slightly different than the bag pictured and might be "last year's model." It has a metal stm badge rather than the embroidered branding shown. It also has a very nice feature which may be lacking on the latest model: a handle on one of the short sides that allows you to carry the bag easily when the shoulder strap isn't attached. There isn't a lot of space in the pockets for extras, but that isn't the point of this bag. I thought the lack of padding on the shoulder strap might be an issue, but I appreciate the fact that it makes the strap less bulky and I've found that the minimal combined weight of the bag and 11" Air makes padding superfluous. The asymmetric zipper, which allows the case to open further one side than the other, makes loading/unloading the Air very easy, while keeping the bag from becoming too floppy when unzipped.
