I’ve had it about a month and it is still generating a kind of white dust but Zither does warn that the padauk wood will do this for a time. Hopefully this will eventually go away. Price complaints aside I do love this stand and am glad I own it. It’s beautiful and I can use it in any room in the house and not feel like I need to put it away when we’re expecting company. In spite of my displeasure with the price I could not give this awesome stand anything less than 5 stars. Plus, I feel a guitar is much safer on this stand than a triangle or tripod stand. If you or anybody else, including the dog, accidentally gave it a real good bump, it may wobble a little bit, but that’s all... no damage. That’s not true with those triangle stands. But I don't have a seperate music room so my stands are out in our living space. My wife has accepted this but I wanted to make it look more like a piece of furniture for her. So I looked for wooden stands and Zither seemed the best choice. Great reviews, great looks, and even though price was high compared to traditional guitar stands, I didn't want a traditional guitar stand, right? So to me that premium was worth it (I hoped). Well, got it and am very happy. It looks great (I would have loved the walnut one but at twice the cost I couldnt bring myself to go that far). It's extremely stable, just doesnt move and it holds the guitars like a champ. Another reviewer here said that based on his experience from working in a music store, the particular guitar holders on this can somewhat dissolve nitro finishes Others say they've had no issues and swear by them but since I don't know I didn't want to chance it. But fortunately we had some old baby socks and voila! The guitar is only touching a nice soft cloth and I don't have to worry about it at all. After just one day I decided I needed another Zither stand for my other guitar. If you're on the fence about this I feel comfortable saying you'll be happy with this product.
